I've spotted something to add to my list of trans 'reversals':
We've been saying for years that is it unreasonable for such a tiny percentage of the population to have such a disproportionate influence on the media, medicine, education, legislation, language etc.
Now the fact that transpeople represent such a teeny tiny percentage of the population is used as a reason to justify anything trans-related, and to berate any critique of it as getting upset about trivia...
If transpeople are such a teeny tiny percentage of society, why would they be entitled to - to take an example which seems to be so important to transpeople - different toilets, when the existing configuration is suitable for 99.7% of the population?
So far I have spotted these 'reversals' of things we've said about TRAs in the past:
- Sufragettes fighting for transwomen
- a paper by Helen Joyce being the GC equivalent of the Dentons Document
- 'cognitive dissonance'
- right to dignity and safety
