"Of course I'm a woman! I was wearing a dress with make up, tights and a handbag!"

Reddit TIM is shocked that, despite featuring all the major components of a woman (a dress, tights, a handbag, and make up), they do not fool anyone.

I rarely wear any of the above, so it is a miracle that I am ever correctly identified as a human woman.

On a serious note, I am concerned that the TRA movement, despite being based on gender stereotypes and mental ill-health, will continue to have power because of the volume of and their capacity for emotional email-writing. Do we need to write to our MPs with regularity to ensure our voices add balance and sanity to the outcries of the emperors and their new clothes?

After all, even in a silky dress, Bowie was still The Man Who Sold The World.

This article is quite fun.

Thanks Sabrina I love that article. An excerpt:

Bowie, in a show of testicular fortitude that probably went a long way to explaining why he preferred to wearing a loose-fitting dress with ample room to house his balls, even wore one while walking around Texas.

🤣

Imagine sports events, hospital wards and loos etc. in the future:

  • Female
  • Male
  • Female but feelings hurt if you say this
  • Male but feelings hurt if you say this
  • Extra room to seat people who have a headache analysing what this means.

So were the 'male police officers' actually male or were they actually female but because they were wearing trousers & not wearing make up or carrying a hand bag he assumed they must be male?!

A dress is just a dress. Makeup is just makeup. Anyone can wear them. It’s just personal preference.

applying gender to clothing is painfully regressive.

And every time it happens it makes you wonder just who it is that thinks “gender norms” are still alive and kicking. If it wasn’t so very funny it would be tragic.

Look around, if you want to pass as a woman in 2025 you need to stop reading back issues of Women’s Weekly.

Apparently handbags used to be uniform issue for women police officers back in the day when they were called WPC just in case they got ideas above their station.

Who else thought, ’tights in this weather, that’s a nasty dose of thrush on its way…’

Fimofriend · 27/06/2025 07:57

My best friend would never be caugth dead with a handbag, tights and/or a handbag and she also has very short hair. Usually a buzz cut. Still people know that she is a woman. Funny that.

My favourite of their threads are the ones where these men claim to have periods.

Wait, what? They do what?

How do they do that? Do I want to know?

No, you don't. You really, really don't.

This was the first thing that I thought.

Certainly not trans women! That's another of those times when actual sex makes a difference.

(oh god oh god oh god I hope I haven't just created a new reddit sub full of trans women discussing their imaginary thrush and how much it validates them. Not that I suggest in any way all or even most trans women have a fetish. Just rule 41 of the internet)

My first thought was that’ll give them jock itch. Or jock itch that identifies as thrush.

Or alternatively, the police officer was sick of having to pander to transwomen, and knew that after the SC ruling, he could call an obvious man "sir".

Which is nice.

Yes it is.
Or the policeman was just honest to the core.
Which is reassuring.

This reminds me of a story a few years ago when a poor train guard was accused of transphobia. He misgendered a MtF by calling him sir. The MtF said something along the lines of "I'm obviously a woman because I was wearing blush pink", accompanied by a pic of an man with long thinning hair. Don't know what happened to the poor train guard, transactivism was in it's ascendency at the time.

This was poor benighted Katie Yeomans. Google him, go on.

Who also prompted the Daily Fail headline:

Pensioner realises she was a woman trapped in a man's body after putting on a frock and heels for a fancy dress party
