Why is anti-trans so important?

Elizabethbd · 24/06/2025 11:48

So, I will preface this with saying that I’m not in the UK, and my country does not yet have the kind of anti-trans debate as there is in the English speaking world.

So, I have a hard time understanding why this is such an important question to many women.

Surely there are women’s issues that affect a larger part of society.

I’m thinking rape and violence towards women, homelesness, sex trafficking and honour killings. Why are these issues not more important and worthy of attention, as they affect so many more women than those who come into contact with trans women (or men)?

Well I discovered more about Sveriges Kvinnoorganisationer, so there's that at least. Apparently 'Terf Island' isn't such an island after all. No wonder the TRAs are raging

Sorry, this is my absolutely last post. I asked people who were anti-trans to a answer my question. It’s self selection.

Women have the right to spaces, associations, groups etc that are for women only away from men. All men.

its not because they are trans, its because they are men.

what do you think trans is OP?

do you know about AGP/autogynephylia? Do you think these men should have access to women’s single sex spaces?

Igneococcus · 27/06/2025 19:06

Why do the TRAs who post here always turn out to be such twerps?

Oh I'm sorry I misunderstood.

I thought you were asking the people who are trying to take away the rights, protections, opportunities, and wipe out the actual language, history, and legal and social existence of female people as a distinct set from male why is it so important to them to paint the women who object to this as "anti trans" rather than acknowledging they are simply responding to a land grab and trying to protect themselves and their legal and moral rights.

And I thought "well isn't that obvious? Because if they admit what they are actually trying to do and why women are so angry not even an especially naive whelk will support them".

But I see you are asking why these women actually are so anti trans.

So I see now why you are so confused.

Because the answer of course is "They aren't. They are pro women."

And if that looks like anti trans to you, maybe you should look at exactly what you have been supporting under the banner of "trans rights".

umm.... no. You didn't ask people who were 'anti-trans' at all.

Perhaps you thought you were clever, but your opening post didn't say you were asking for people who were 'anti-trans' to answer. So I think the joke is actually on you. Make sure you mention that when you post your screen shots. That you meant to specify that anti-trans people answer, but actually didn't.

Well done, you!

No, no you didn't ask anyone who was anti trans to answer.
You have also been reeled back into the thread several times.

Helleofabore · 27/06/2025 21:37

Imagine being so contemptuous but then understanding that what you thought you had done wasn’t actually what you did. But also you are celebrating what is also effectively bullying a group of people you don’t agree with.

Such success!

Thank you @BeeSouriante
My thougts exactly. I was honestly prepared to be convinved. But Having Donald Trump on your side should prompt some self reflection.

For those of you asking where I live, it’s Sweden. We know a thing or two about women’s rights, as I’m sure you know.

Edited

I'm fairly sure that Donald Trump agrees with most people in Sweden that the sky is blue, grass is green and it's not wise to eat yellow snow.

If also happens to be what you believe, you probably should have some self reflection before you decide to go around scolding women here and artists from Sweden.

HTH

RedToothBrush · 27/06/2025 22:10

As I saw on twitter, there's nothing more ironic than someone who champions equality coming around to try tell you they are morally superior.

That klaxon has gone off for hypocrisy

FeistyCat · 28/06/2025 07:49

I knew you were not genuine from the moment you wrote "anti-trans" (though I suspect you really want to say anti-men. But you can't because you know how you'd look if you did, so have to rebadge anti-men as 'anti-trans') Since no one on this thread has posted anything anti trans in response to you, one wonders exactly what type of 'screenshots' you think you have gotten. Screenshots of us explaining over and over and over and over and over and over that we are not 'anti trans' we are pro-women. We are pro protecting the hard won rights to female only spaces our foremother feminists achieved for us.

Perhaps you should ask yourself and do some self reflection as to why you align yourself with a misogynistic ideology that was started by a pedophile who changed the sex of a boy because he botched his circumcision. And why this ideology attracts sexual fetishists, pedophiles, rapists, males who have an erect penis in womens toilets (as has been filmed as evidence) and males who urinate on feminist statues in protest.

You are what you hang with. As they say. Those are who agree with you. Do some self reflection. And ask yourself why you have such a deep-seated hatred of women and womens rights.

I am more than proud to have my posts in your screenshots. Why? Because I have not posted anything anti-trans. Only pro-women. The same as everyone else on this thread. And I wager that all the rest of the women on this thread feel the same way, and feel no shame in anything they posted and would be proud to be in your screenshots. So..... what is it exactly that you think you achieved, other than women explaining to you why women need our hard won human rights? You came away empty-handed. It's not like you have a screenshot of anyone actually saying they hate trans people. So you failed, like each successive troll does. You leave empty-handed. With only screenshots of women defending womens rights. Some achievement there.

DeanElderberry · 28/06/2025 08:01

I'd like to think that if these alleged screenshots are correctly identified as coming from MN, some people might come over to learn more.

" I asked people who were anti-trans to answer my question"

As a few people have asked, and I and many others will be wondering, where did you do this @Elizabethbd ?

Can you point out where in any of your posts or title you asked people who were anti-trans to answer your question?

Thanks
