😆

We could get a terfy playlist going.

I'd so go to this picnic. Armed with my cheeseboard, wine bag, and my normal picnic strategy of covering myself in glue and throwing myself round m&s food Hall.

More buses AND a party bus

I'm in. I'll bring raspberries from the garden gate stall along the road.

Oh, I can so empathise with your M&S strategy - 'I'm only going in for a couple of things' I lie to myself. I went in the other day for a birthday card and ended up with Hog Roast sausage rolls and a bottle of Mimosa, among other things.

See this revolving cheeseboard with knives in it, is it like this?

Yes, although mine is plain wood on top.

I also have a cool bag designed specifically to put deboxed wine bags in with a tap on the side....

I have to thank my sister for that little gem.

Linky dink to the wine bag please?

murasaki · 21/06/2025 19:07

I've read them but I disagree why do you keep restricting my voice?

I think your having a bit a mantrum tbh just stick to the rules and you can post

EmpressaurusKitty · 21/06/2025 19:09

I’ve just got a sourdough loaf out of the oven that would go nicely with cheese.

That looks delicious.

Sadly the starter of this thread won't be welcoming the party bus, having deleted his account sometime between this morning and now: https://www.reddit.com/user/the-evil-bee

Toasted under the grill with almond butter & cheddar, it’s heaven.

How strange! If not a little OTT reaction to getting a few posts deleted on Mumsnet

Waitwhat23 · 21/06/2025 19:54

One suspects that he is currently writing his epic ode, telling of his valiant venture into the Karen's den, and his defiant struggle against the forces of darkness for the benefit of batshit Twitter.

Possibly lots of references to darkness and brave deeds. With added tumpty tumpty tum.

I await it with baited breath!

I would even have asked OP to the picnic if we could agree to disagree.

Helleofabore · 21/06/2025 20:16

Oh noes! Did Bee not get the kudos of their trip here? What a shame.

Your response suggests you are hugely invested in the topic and perhaps yourself can’t see the situation regarding moderation on mumsnet with any clarity.
but even that seems to have really pissed some people off,

You seem to have a strange view on my comments. I am perfectly calm, not ‘hugely invested’ (any more than anyone else with an interest in discussing women’s rights) and (presuming that’s aimed at me) I am not ‘really pissed off’.

I just pointed out that you presented an opinion as if it were fact on a topic you admit you know little about (the contents and discussions in this forum as you apparently don’t hang out here much). I then tried to find some common ground by asking you a relevant question (on something you raised).

Your reactions to my posts are rather disproportionate.

Its interesting that you call yourself a gender critical lesbian, yet refer to posters on here as being against ‘trans rights’ but without specifying what you mean by that.

As a gender critical lesbian, what trans rights are you referring to? And why do you think that moderation is not as good now?

Why are you replying to my post that is specifically for somebody else? And why do you keep asking me to engage on something I have said I don’t want to engage on?

Your posts to me are disingenuous and condescending. Your first one pissed me off, because it made assumptions about my knowledge and views that are incorrect. You responded to something I said that you clearly didn’t like by trying to educate me, based on those incorrect assumptions. When I responded in turn, you then took on a passive aggressive, faux innocent approach. I have no interest in having a discussion on trans rights with you at all. I suspect actually we would not be very far apart on our views, but as I have said I have absolutely no interest in discussing it with you at all.

All this has done is serve to remind me why I stay away from this topic. I won’t be responding to you further.

ArabellaScott · 21/06/2025 21:28

I think you're reading a lot into a pretty neutral comment, tbh. But nobody is forcing you to discuss anything.

CuriousGeorge80 · 21/06/2025 21:38

WithSilverBells · 21/06/2025 16:41

@CuriousGeorge80 Well I obvs respect your right not to engage. I just find it a bit odd that if you have some slam dunk lawyerly arguments about which trans rights shouldn't be opposed you would be willing to share them, being a gender critical lesbian and all

Edit to add @

Edited

Genuinely, I haven’t made a single comment about any trans rights which shouldn’t be opposed. Please can you send me the extract of my post that you are referring to, as I am baffled. Thanks 🙏

I believe posters are responding to this statement.

On the trans issues I would say it over moderated agaisnt those who were opposed to trans rights for a period of time

Where you mischaracterise feminists on this board as opposing trans rights. Which is untrue. I would predict the majority of posters on this board are not ‘opposed’ to people with transgender identities having the same rights to protect them as anyone else.
