Hi all,

Just flagging this for any lesbian or bi women who’ve felt pushed out of Pride, or like something’s quietly disappeared.

We’re organising a lesbian and bisexual women-only march on Saturday 5th July in central London. It’s the same day as the main Pride event – but we’re not part of their route, and we’re not affiliated.

Time: 11.00 AM
Meeting point: Emmeline Pankhurst Statue, Victoria Tower Gardens South (by Parliament)
Route: Walk to Parliament Square for a few short speeches, then back to the park for a picnic (or a nearby pub if it rains)

No men. No brands. No pressure.
Just women. In public. Without compromise.

It’s fully self-funded. All permits, insurance, stewards and first aid are covered.

RSVP now
Click “Attend” – even if you’re only thinking of coming. It helps us plan and it shows other women that this space is real.
New faces always welcome.
Meetup

If you’re coming alone or feeling nervous, join our entry WhatsApp group – we’ll look after you:
chat.whatsapp.com/FCsLSOzgV4C2yUGplyQr5m
(This is our public group – open to everyone before vetting. The private WhatsApp spaces are strictly filtered. Only verified, registered women are added after screening. To move into those, register and complete sex verification here: thelcommunity.com)

If you want to understand the story behind why this is needed:

They didn’t make space for us. So we did.

So, no trans women?

I'll start arranging the anti transphobia counter protest, thanks for clarification!

Why not just attend Pride?

Why not just attend Pride?

This is most pride thing to do, go and protest transphobia, read your history. I was gonna skip london but well, now I have a reason to come over and bring some friends along!

See you all there!

DryDay · 16/06/2025 15:26

I hope it goes brilliantly. Sending all the women good wishes.

ApocalipstickNow · 16/06/2025 15:32

Good luck everyone, you clearly knew a bunch of entitled tossers would be planning on turning up and harassing* you so stay safe.

*because they always do

AidaP · 16/06/2025 15:15

I'll ask the question more bluntly - are trans women lesbians allowed?

No such thing. Transwomen are men so are excluded from the LESBIAN & BI WOMEN ONLY PRIDE event.

Just in case your threat is real, don’t forget to wear your best bonnets and frocks…you’ll be captured on TV cameras and press coverage 🤣

Iheartmysmart · 16/06/2025 15:36

Oh diddums, are we having a mantrum@AidaP because those nasty women aren’t pandering to the penis as you think they should. Believe it or not, women are actually allowed to meet up and not include men!

I’m also excluded because I’m neither a lesbian or bisexual but I hope you all have an amazing day.

Waitingfordoggo · 16/06/2025 15:40

@AidaP is reminding me of all the misogynists I saw commenting on a FB article this morning. They were really angry that some vulnerable and disadvantaged women are going to be getting a women-only housing block somewhere in West London. The comment section was a binfire of ‘What about the Menz?’ ‘This is discrimination!’ etc.

There are a significant number of men who will not ever accept women having things for themselves. It was a depressing moment when I realised most of these men are never going to change.

All we can do is endeavour to raise our sons to be better men than these spiteful, rage-filled misogynists.

Why not just attend Pride?

Because some tras apparently enjoy shrieking at women through megaphones, dowsing themselves in bottles of pi@s, trying to frighten and spiting lesbians and stopping them having anything of their own.

Don’t forget flashing their moobs @maltravers, that’s a new favourite to go with the piss-spraying.

WitchyWitcherson · 16/06/2025 15:45

I'm heterosexual so can't attend, but wishing all my lesbian and bi sisters a safe and enjoyable time 💜

Waitingfordoggo · 16/06/2025 15:46

It’s not a ‘transphobe’ gathering @AidaP, it’s a lesbian event.

LivelyFinch · 16/06/2025 15:47

Certain posters need to be reported to the police. There are quite blatent threats being made.

OuterSpaceCadet · 16/06/2025 15:48

Christinapple · 16/06/2025 14:17

My question hasn't been answered. In recent years we have seen several times, including online communities such as now-banned reddit subs for example, so called "lesbian" events that in practice turn out to be nothing to do with being lesbian and are only about anti-trans activism.

If this is the case and it's basically just another KJK thing then it's only fair a counter protest can be present so all views are heard?

Can you hear yourself?

You sound like a chaperone concerned that some of the ladyfolk are planning on meeting without you.

BackToLurk · 16/06/2025 15:49

Christinapple · 16/06/2025 14:41

"what are you planning?"

Nothing. Just trying to establish if this event will be similar in nature to the KJK anti-trans hate rallies (as described by NZ media I believe).

If people are actually going to be using megaphones to screech hatred against trans people and anyone who supports them it would be (just a suggestion) more balanced if some LGBT supporters were there also to peacefully show there is also support for LGBT people. You know, free speech for everyone?

I'm not sure if you're aware, but your posts come across as a bit bullying and entitled.

Anyway I thought the TRA party line was that there are only about 3 lesbians in the whole of the UK who aren't inclusive of their 'trans sisters'. If that's the case you'll be able to happily leave them to it won't you?

History wise, back in the 1980s there were Lesbian Strength marches in London. Some I think were the weekend before Pride? Back then it was frightening to attend both Pride/ lesbian strength because of the genuine fear of losing your job, being attacked on the streets / queer bashing etc but the camaraderie and freedom to march proudly was worth the fear.

I don't recall gay men or anyone objecting to lesbians self organising. But then the fetish addled, heterosexual men claiming to be women weren't a thing then.

Who'd have thought we'd now be in a place where creeps monitor women talking online so they can find opportunities to openly boast of threatening and intimidating lesbians.

Completely out of control.

There's no such thing as a male lesbian.

HTH.

What it sounds like is “why’s there no straight pride?” Or “all lives matter” or “when’s there an international men’s day?”

Yeah dude.

It's a patriarchy and TRAs are into doxxing, livelihood destruction, and death and rape threats.

How surprising that an already minority of an already impressed class might be cowed in to acquiescence.

WallaceinAnderland · 16/06/2025 15:51

Is this a gender critical event is about as relevant asking is this a vegetarian event.

RedToothBrush · 16/06/2025 15:51

Males trying to stop or force their way into a female homosexual only event are homophobic.

The End.

maltravers · 16/06/2025 15:52

I imagine trans men are allowed Aida, but presumably they don’t count, for some inexplicable but not penis related reason.

BackToLurk · 16/06/2025 15:52

AidaP · 16/06/2025 15:15

Is it just the biologically female who aren't allowed their own things? Do you also object to things exclusively for PoC? Or Muslims? Or Jews? I think we should know whether you're an equal opportunities bigot.

A counter protest for what exactly? To try and hassle lesbians into sex with men?

Piss off.
