Hi all,

Just flagging this for any lesbian or bi women who’ve felt pushed out of Pride, or like something’s quietly disappeared.

We’re organising a lesbian and bisexual women-only march on Saturday 5th July in central London. It’s the same day as the main Pride event – but we’re not part of their route, and we’re not affiliated.

Time: 11.00 AM
Meeting point: Emmeline Pankhurst Statue, Victoria Tower Gardens South (by Parliament)
Route: Walk to Parliament Square for a few short speeches, then back to the park for a picnic (or a nearby pub if it rains)

No men. No brands. No pressure.
Just women. In public. Without compromise.

It’s fully self-funded. All permits, insurance, stewards and first aid are covered.

RSVP now
Click “Attend” – even if you’re only thinking of coming. It helps us plan and it shows other women that this space is real.
New faces always welcome.
Meetup

If you’re coming alone or feeling nervous, join our entry WhatsApp group – we’ll look after you:
chat.whatsapp.com/FCsLSOzgV4C2yUGplyQr5m
(This is our public group – open to everyone before vetting. The private WhatsApp spaces are strictly filtered. Only verified, registered women are added after screening. To move into those, register and complete sex verification here: thelcommunity.com)

If you want to understand the story behind why this is needed:

They didn’t make space for us. So we did.

This sounds great OP, I hope it goes really well. I would love to come but have my kids that day.

Excellent that you are doing this.

I am beginning to think that transwomen have FOMO, it's crazy, that they will protest about women. To all the people who are attending have fun, unfortunately as a straight woman I can't

Your username is very appropriate for this comment 😂Are you sure you don't want to have a tantrum about the fact you can't attend? That's what all the cool kids are doing, apparently!

BackToLurk · 16/06/2025 17:04

KeineBedeutung · 16/06/2025 17:02

I'm miles away, but am assuming other biological females who want to support their biological female lesbian/bi friends could join in too?

It’s for lesbian and bisexual women (the traditional sort). Everything doesn’t have to be for everyone

Awww bless, as a straight female, this event is not for me and no I don't suffer with FOMO unlike a group who want to protest about not being included

I understand who it's about and am in support of them, I just wondered if they'd welcome straight women who wanted to stand alongside. I totally get that it's not for men. I also respect that it might not be for me either.
(Too far for me, just wondered generally).

To be fair if I wanted to go to a protest but there was a high chance that your mates may turn including aggressive men in balaclavas and others holding placards calling for violence towards me then I probably wouldn’t bother.

More than welcome! This is just transphobic protest under "true lesbians" banner.

Yes, as you say, the true lesbians.

This is very helpful evidence to show that your explicit intention is to protest a lesbian event so any crime you or your colleagues commit in the day can be tried with the aggravator of a homophobic hate crime.

Screenshotted in case OP needs it. Thank you.

No. Only lesbians and bisexual women. Straight women, this isn't about you either.

ArabellaScott · 16/06/2025 17:19

'Protesting' a woman only picnic ffs.

What else will you protest? Women who are kissing someone and not you? It's not even a stretch, is it? It's pure incel behaviour. Embarrasing and gross.

Yes, of course its sunlight and will peak people. But ffs, women are sick of having to be the demonstration model that sexist, misogynist and predatory bullshit abounds.

WE KNOW.

One of the key aims of the posts on this thread will be to attempt to scare women out of risking attending.

Absolutely. The level of threats against women is off the scale at the moment - especially women pleased about the SC court ruling. While politicians simper about tackling VAWG, these dangerous creeps operate in plain sight. I have no problem with women or men deciding to stay away / keep silent to protect themselves and their families. - and am full of admiration for those who do put themselves out there
Too many people know what it's like to live alongside unhinged, anti social individuals who openly threaten anyone who they dislike. It's always disappointing to see incel type behaviour on here but it is a reality.

Indeed. Violent men threaten to turn up and disrupt women only events and then sneer at women for being afraid.

And we all know there have been violent attacks in the past.

Nice.

TheOtherRaven · 16/06/2025 17:26

Homosexual women not allowed at Pride. Now not allowed to leave Pride in peace and go and be by themselves either. Not allowed to meet. Not allowed a space to meet in.

My God how some men lose it and dispatch the flying monkeys when there's a woman refusing to have sex with men.

And there are those in this movement who apparently wants Pride - all of it - the gay Pride AND the Trans Pride, AND to own and control absolutely everything else too. Their own cake, everyone else's cake, all the cake, all the time. If anyone else has a crumb anywhere it's an act of defiance that must be punished. Wtf is wrong with these people?

Threats of violence because you're not invited to a picnic. That's the level they'll sink to.

I assume pedestrian rage and hatred stemming from insecurity and lack of self esteem, presumably because of rejection and failure.

But honestly? I don't really care anymore. Men need to leave women alone. They have the whole ubiquitous rainbow Pride festivals all over the country to go and have fun with like minded people.

Instead, they want to threaten and intimidate women for the audacity of organising a picnic.

Myalternate · 16/06/2025 17:37

I wonder if the LGB-T people realise that they’re only permitted to use the acronym ‘LGB’ with permission from the ‘T’ ? 🤔

If @Christinapple and @AidaP wanted to demonstrate that the 'trans rights don't affect what anyone else does' stuff was a load of bollocks, I'm not sure they could have done it better. Well done chaps.

Edited

Yep, live and let live I thought they said? Not if you are a women and/or lesbian then you must face a metaphorical firing squad.

Utterly repellent homophobia and misogyny from those posters.

AidaP · 16/06/2025 16:58

Good grief. Are you actively trying to turn people against transwomen, Aida?

Your posts just make male people sound like unbearable clodhoppers who will intrude where they have not been invited.

If you call all organised meetings between female people "transphobic" then you sound very, very odd. Where is the phobia? They're just male, hence not invited.

Treaclewell · 16/06/2025 17:46

Plan for dealing with uppity women.

  1. Write to authorities in area accusing them of being political. Even if it's a knitting group. Remember the tricoteuses. Your letters won't be published, your objections not identified so you can continue to 2. as if you had only just heard of it. 2.Ask if the event includes those it obviously doesn't and say you will be counter protesting it. Rub in the descriptions reminding women of what they will endure. This will stop many people attending. 3.Attend in the usual way and record everything from angles that identify the knitters as the cause of trouble.

I wouldn't be surpised if our dear Chris had not been in communication with the authorities about the difficulties caused by the uppity women.

Where does it say no straight women?

There's no sign outside my local primary school saying "not for adults" - but everyone understands that they are for children and respects that. A lesbian march / picnic is just that . For lesbians.

Most people simply respect that. Clear language and respect for the rights of lesbians to organise lesbian only events.

What is it that's so complicated to understand?

Helleofabore · 16/06/2025 17:50

The reaction that a lesbian and bisexual women-only march has drawn from a particular poster that a 'counter protest' should be organised should be considered what it is. Posts that are encouraging harm and are actually threatening in light of previous posting history.

Because this poster has in the past called violent and intimidating protest tactics 'peaceful'. And has dismissed violent acts as just being like 'comedy routines' and the like.

It is truly concerning to see a poster declaring that a 'peaceful' protest should be organised. Because that word 'peaceful', in light of that history, means anything but!

AidaP · 16/06/2025 16:58

There is only one type of lesbian - a female homosexual, that is the legal definition, that is on the Statute Books, that is it, no ifs, buts or maybes.

You and your nasty mob do not have the right to alter the definition nor to commit hate crimes by disrupting or protesting an event for and by lesbians.

You really show yourselves up for the revolting, intolerant, cowardly bullies that you are.
