Hi all,

Just flagging this for any lesbian or bi women who’ve felt pushed out of Pride, or like something’s quietly disappeared.

We’re organising a lesbian and bisexual women-only march on Saturday 5th July in central London. It’s the same day as the main Pride event – but we’re not part of their route, and we’re not affiliated.

Time: 11.00 AM
Meeting point: Emmeline Pankhurst Statue, Victoria Tower Gardens South (by Parliament)
Route: Walk to Parliament Square for a few short speeches, then back to the park for a picnic (or a nearby pub if it rains)

No men. No brands. No pressure.
Just women. In public. Without compromise.

It’s fully self-funded. All permits, insurance, stewards and first aid are covered.

RSVP now
Click “Attend” – even if you’re only thinking of coming. It helps us plan and it shows other women that this space is real.
New faces always welcome.
Meetup

If you’re coming alone or feeling nervous, join our entry WhatsApp group – we’ll look after you:
chat.whatsapp.com/FCsLSOzgV4C2yUGplyQr5m
(This is our public group – open to everyone before vetting. The private WhatsApp spaces are strictly filtered. Only verified, registered women are added after screening. To move into those, register and complete sex verification here: thelcommunity.com)

If you want to understand the story behind why this is needed:

https://thelcommunity.com/taking-back-pride/

They didn’t make space for us. So we did.

@AidaP @Christinapple

You have shown who you are. Now DFOD.

"This is most pride thing to do, go and protest transphobia, read your history. I was gonna skip london but well, now I have a reason to come over and bring some friends along!
See you all there!"

This has to be one of the most immature, spiteful things I have ever read on here.

MrsTerryPratchett · 18/06/2025 01:19

I’m interested in where the logical break is.

For me it goes like this:

There are women who are same-sex attracted. They exist. There are also a load of other people in the world with various sexualities and preferences and identities. But that doesn’t stop the fact that there are women (sex) who fancy other women (sex). And those women probably have reason to chat to each other, to come together, to organise, to meet. Because their issues have a Venn diagram that overlaps with each other in a place it doesn’t overlap with my circle. That doesn’t mean it might not overlap in other areas. But not in this one. As well as that, same-sex attracted people AND women have been treated poorly historically. They probably want their own space sometimes. Now I don’t see any logical fails in that. I don’t see any hate or phobia.

I’d love to know which part of it is so abhorrent to the ploppers. Is it that they aren’t allowed to be same-sex attracted? Because that seems wildly misogynistic and homophobic. Is it that recognising their unique overlap is an affront to people somehow? It is that they for some reason shouldn’t be allowed to talk to each other?

I’d love to know the exact place in the logic.

The funniest thing is these boys claiming they have friends. @AidaP the ones in your head don’t count

I think the issue is that you are trying to apply logic to a group of people who have rejected it entirely.

In the minds of (most) heterosexual TiM, they ARE lesbians, so why would lesbians not include them and their penises in anything which is specifically for lesbians? They are totally unable to accept that they are not female, and therefore not women, and therefore not lesbians. If they believe they are lesbians, everyone else has to, and anyone who doesn't is a fascist. Logic, common sense and dictionary definitions mean nothing to these people- their special 'lady feelings' trump all of that.

They all go to a different school 😉

DeanElderberry · 18/06/2025 07:46

A thing that struck me was the way the mean boys can only see public assembly as 'protest'. Not celebration, commemoration, solidarity, fun, affirmation.

For them it has to be about pretendy war, not community.

DiamondThrone · 18/06/2025 08:03

For the last decade or so the TIMs held all the power - to deny their mad orthodoxy was to be sacked, or trolled, or cancelled.

They ruled government departments. They ruled the BBC. They ruled Scotland.

But then some - gasp! - women started standing up to them, and they slowly lost that power as sanity was shone on the whole edifice of lies.

And they can't bear that they lost their power over us.

It is delicious.

Myalternate · 18/06/2025 08:16

Never gone through it myself so may be talking rubbish but I imagine it feels like leaving an abusive relationship and being able to finally take a deep breath.

Igmum · 18/06/2025 08:38

Well here’s to all of the lesbians marching. Confusion to their enemies and idiot TRAs with FOMO, a peaceful celebration of their right to meet in single-sex, same-sex attracted groups and a few drinks afterwards.

Or the ones on Reddit.

TheOtherRaven · 18/06/2025 17:09

I'm afraid the evidence suggests that these are very generous interpretations. I'd say the answer can be simply and readily summed up in the term 'cockblocking', and 'nuff said.

Love this post. Completely agree, it is driving TRAs and MRAs crazy that women are asserting our rights and the law agrees. May I just say mehahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!! Couldn’t have happened to a nicer bunch given their death threats and intimidation.

It also explains why they hate JKR with every fibre of their being. Damn that pesky woman with the money and power and fan base to withstand their prolonged assault. Go JKR!!

Their frothing, spinning and frustrated threats are great entertainment. I’m ordering more popcorn.

Brilliant you’re exactly who it’s for. Lesbian and bi women, same-sex attracted, taking the space. See you there.

I've just read the thread and the threat of angry men showing up won't keep me away. I've just booked train tickets and looking forward to a lovely day out 😃
I'm thinking quiches and banana bread-you can't really go wrong with those.
See you all there 💪

Hope you have a wonderful day. Like many others here, I’d love to join you in solidarity but know it is not a space for hetero women however well-meaning.

You should be allowed your own space. A safe space. With other WOMEN like you.

murasaki · 20/06/2025 18:04

Another one hoping you have a fab day. Like others, I'd love to go as it sounds great but appreciate it's not my space. So cheering you on from the sidelines.

LCommunity · 24/06/2025 09:44

Thank you for all the support.

I hope the sun shines for you. I know it's not Pride but this old-school feminist is proud of you and grateful that you're standing up for women in these crazy, confused times. ❤️ Xx

Myalternate · 05/07/2025 01:07

i hope you all have a wonderful peaceful day xx

Treaclewell · 05/07/2025 08:24

I'm wishing all the best to you. I hope there's no trouble.

FlippinFumin · 05/07/2025 08:27

Have a fabulous day today lesbians. I hope the bully boys stay the fuck away.

Abhannmor · 05/07/2025 08:52

Hope it's a big turn out and a lovely day 😊

MarieDeGournay · 05/07/2025 09:07

Have a wonderful day. I'd be there but for geographySmile
The trans movement has a reputation for being notoriously anti-lesbian, and this gathering will be a test of that:
there is absolutely nothing to justify any counter-protests, megaphone-shouting, soup- or punch-throwing, Nazi-accusing. Nothing.

So if the usual bullies turn up, it will proof of their homophobia, specifically against lesbians.

You're on notice, bullies - leave the lesbians in peace, or prove your lesbophobia beyond question.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 05/07/2025 09:09

Good luck, I hope you have a lovely day!
