Apologies if this has been covered somewhere else, but I saw these billboards driving through an area of london today.

good lord I nearly crashed the car. This is the whole thing they just don’t get! It’s not about what we “look like”! We can look how we want! It’s about the biological reality of womanhood - menstruation, fertility, infertility, pregnancy, menopause. All the shit that goes with that. Not whether you have long hair and a pink top.

This is What a Woman Looks Like – LGBT Foundation

A national charity with LGBTQ+ health and wellbeing at the heart of everything we do.

How come all these "include everyone" group photos always look so wild and always seem to exclude ordinary girls or plain older women? Its always someone "special", with quirky clothes, too much or zero make up, wild hair (or no hair) - or even male. I never seen a bunch of people like the ones in the picture - except maybe at some specialist protest. Get some females together from a bus or a school gate, or at some Tesco - they will never look like this group. It such bullshit.

In real life what women look like draws mockery and ageism from the people posing in that performative rubbish.

elgreco · 09/06/2025 22:35

Mad looking bunch. Where are the dull average women like me.

Bannedontherun · 09/06/2025 22:41

It is possible it is AI photos.

Am tempted to contact them via my husbands e mail to say

” hi i would love a T-shirt please, I am a size 4 (petite) about a 32 aa if that helps”

think i will wait until the morning comes……

Then it appears AI can render photos which are readily identifiable as trans identifying men in a frock....

I also saw a sanctimonious Pride advert which was either Sky or Virgin Media wanging on about pronouns and how Pride will be needed “until non binary is no longer seen as confusing”. It’s not “confusing” it’s just bollocks. DP just said “they haven’t really read the room, have they?”

"This is what a cat looks like":
A ginger tom, a black Persian, a tortie Manx, a Siamese, a grey Scottish Fold, a Norwegian Forest Cat, a Jack Russell and a Rottweiler.

Sorry, Pride is needed until a thing that makes no sense and can’t be properly explained even by it’s most enthusiastic proponents is no longer confusing?

oookay then…

It does seem like ‘this is what a woman looks like’ is mainly someone with exuberant tattoos

Well, there's not much else to pass the time (citation required) on those long nights in D Block.

Urgh, I am cringing and grabbing for the remote every time that bloody thing comes on.

Joeninety · 20/11/2025 23:12

Gosh, not one single in any way attractive one there ?....Where do all these 'real women' come from ?

Evergreen505 · 20/11/2025 23:22

Is this just another way of trying to brain wash the public that men in dresses are women.

I saw men in the line up, looking like men in drag, like buffalo bill.

I want to embrace a person's right to dress and be what they want and that includes dressing and identifying personally as female. I will not oppose this and I want people to have personal freedom of expression.

But posters and campaigns like this feel very sinister, underhand and make me question the intent.

Women look like lots of things. Who gives a shit. I see men here who are not women. I care about that if I'm being compelled to agree this is a woman. No they are not.

As my husband said when we were watching the umpteenth tv quiz show featuring yet another man dressed up as a woman, it feels like every public service provider is involved in a campaign to normalise this. But the reasons for men dressing this way may be related to a fetish and a desire to degrade women. And neither of those things are normal.

littlebilliie · 21/11/2025 07:20

Isn’t this false advertising

Peak women is the dog walkers, I wear what’s closest when I’m on a walk

NoBinturongsHereMate · 21/11/2025 07:55

There's nothing 'special' about zero makeup.
