MNHQ: "We’ll also no longer use a rigid three strikes system" - Who would you want to be able to post on FWR again?

On this thread there have been a number of posts from MNHQ, one of which contains this statement. https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/womens_rights/5342469-just-checking-since-the-sc-there-is-no-such-thing-as-misgendering-on-mumsnet-or-is-there

It is only a 2 page thread, and the first post (in blue on my screen) is at the end of the 1st page with more on page 2.

Just thought some might like to suggest who has been lost and missed because of an earlier strict regime!

Smile

just checking - since the SC there is no such thing as misgendering on Mumsnet? Or is there?? | Mumsnet

Just checking we can refer to TIM as he now? I think so... The deeply admirable Helen Joyce does and I share her rationale... Goes all the way back t...

LangCleg.

LangCleg.

That's the name I usually see put forward.

Maybe a compilation of contributions should be made!

I expect to be able to call a man a man - even if they are a barrister - without there needing to be a suitable reason/excuse for it.

JellySaurus · 03/06/2025 22:14

Barraker.

Not sure how she spelled her name. She wrote Pronouns Are Rohypnol.

FuckOffYokeofOpression · 03/06/2025 22:16

LangCleg. That's who I remember from the bad times. Otherwise there have been so many name changes I'm not sure who else we lost.

MaidofStars may have been another.

BettyBooper · 04/06/2025 00:09

LangCleg.

Just because I hear about her often.

The main thing all to this absolute bullcrap has shown me is that hearing from all sides is valuable. I've learnt a lot.

The truth I hang on to : people can't change sex. Never. Ever. And build from there.

CraftandGlamour · 04/06/2025 00:16

LangCleg absolutely. And Barracker

tartyflette · 04/06/2025 00:18

Would be so happy to see Lang and Barracker on here again.

FranticFrankie · 04/06/2025 00:20

LangCleg and Barracker please
Thanks

Hoydenish · 04/06/2025 00:56

And Dittany so I can say thank you properly.

CrocsNotDocs · 04/06/2025 00:59

Stephanie Hayden is a man and a convicted sex offender. I have been booted off Mumsnet twice under different accounts for stating this.

IwantToRetire · 04/06/2025 01:32

I feel bad as definitely when I first started posting on FWR, rather than just reading, there were are least 3 contributors who I learnt a lot from.

But I am so bad with names, I just cant remember them.

But thanks to them for helping make FWR not only helpful and informative, but creating a sense that there were some of us who were more clued up and willing to share.

Shedmistress · 04/06/2025 07:12

I'd quite like the original 'Pronouns are Rohypnol' thread back.

StellaAndCrow · 04/06/2025 07:35

Kellie Jay Keen please.
(and LangCleg and Barracker)

And anyone who was brigaded off by those awful controlling cry-bully men.

loveyouradvice · 04/06/2025 07:38

Definitely these three - Kellie Jay Keen LangCleg and Barracker

And there must be more!

FortyElephants · 04/06/2025 07:42

There was a poster called Mary something - peri brain, I can't remember, but did she go over the gender nonsense?

MaryZ, iirc.

Floisme · 04/06/2025 08:02

Yes MaryZ - she snook back in and started a thread a few years ago but was thrown out pretty quickly.

Yes to LangCleg and Barracker.

One of my favourite posters had ‘bunting’ as part of her user name. I think she left voluntarily because the rules pissed her off so I guess she could come back anyway if she wanted.

I do think some of them will have found other ways to work and communicate and that they might not be as keen to come back as we are to see them again.

Floisme · 04/06/2025 08:06

And there was an awesome scientist - can’t remember her full user name but Babel something. I’m not sure if she was chucked out or not.

RobinHeartella · 04/06/2025 08:08

Sorry if this is daft - how do we know if a poster was banned rather than name changed? Do they retrospectively delete all old posts of a banned poster?

Dwimmer · 04/06/2025 08:11

SidewaysOtter · 03/06/2025 22:10

The fact they are men is reason enough.

We didn’t always know but sometimes other posters would report it - presumably they were in touch with the banned poster. And in some cases, eg. Langcleg, there was a big outcry and MNHQ responded, thereby confirming that she’d been banned.

Thanks for explaining. I do hope posters who have been banned under rules that have now changed can come back, but I reckon many wouldn't want to. They'll have found other platforms by now I guess.

RobinHeartella · 04/06/2025 08:34

I don't think I'd want to come back. There are some Facebook groups for example I'd never rejoin based on the stuff that got said to me at the time with regard to gender etc. That's what drove me to FWR
