How the fuck do they justify sometimes using male pronouns, sometimes respecting their identity, sometimes not?

It's all or nothing, BBC. You can't just choose to 'affirm' the ones you think are nice.

Exactly. Using "neutral" pronouns only in criminal cases also supports a false narrative that somehow "trans" criminals aren't genuinely trans and distinguishes them from the "real", harmless, victimised trans community. If trans means living in a different gender to the sex they are born in they can be criminals the same as anyone else. And should also have their pronouns respected according to the ideology unless there is evidence that they aren't really living as that gender.

I think she means ‘ refuge’ or ‘ sanctuary’.’Haven’ is generally a place where you feel peaceful, safe and at home: it originates from a secure harbour for ships.

I’m friendly with the chap who runs our local Tesco Express, but I don’t think even he would regard it as peaceful ( or anyone’s anchorage).

Jamie / Katie looks absolutely terrible, I feel quite sorry for him ( though more sorry for his ex wife). I think his dad has a lot to answer for, rather like Aimee Challoner / Knight.

According to her website, she is very highly regarded in her profession.

Deemed by legal directories as the ‘go to silk’ for high profile cases, who is a masterful advocate who has seen it all and knows just what to say and to say it to best effect.

Is "a member of the press started to follow him [sic] and he took haven in Tesco Express" an example of' just what to say' about your trans client, and is saying it before the hearing even starts 'saying it to best effect'?

Also “HE” took haven? Not a promising start for the top KC if she can’t remember to pretend her client’s a woman.

Gosh this will make some TRAs' brains pop won't it: a right wing trans identified person. I wonder whether being tory - and therefore a literal evil fascist - will be excused because he's male and part of the most vulnerable minority, and therefore a very special person?!

Surely a key tenet of Gender Identity Ideology is that criminals who’ve been caught were never truly trans in the first place?

Maybe she’s GC and has taken the case for a bit of a laugh…

Don't know about that, but I do know the UK's first trans parliamentarian was a member of UKIP!
Nikki Sinclaire - Wikipedia

Ubiquitous head tilt 🙄🙄

TooBigForMyBoots · 20/05/2025 01:56

I'll just leave this here.

In the 2009 European elections, Sinclaire was elected as a UKIP Member of the European Parliament for the West Midlands region, while holding the second place on the UKIP list.[10] Thus she became the first openly lesbian member of the European Parliament for the UK delegation.

His mental health doesn't seem to have improved since becoming trans does it? Funny that.

I appreciate how the article is written, reporter clearly dislikes him.

UK's first lesbian member was a man?

Someone is paying for that expensive barrister and I’m guessing the defendant isn’t well off.

Didnt he initially come to public attention because of a drink during incident or similar?

The politician, 38, was wearing a black leather mini-skirt, high heels, and a pearl necklace at the time of the late-night collision - which he said was caused by him swerving to avoid a cat on the road.

a pearl necklace 😂😂😂😂😂

That person is obviously a man. No mistake. As they say 'you can but lipstick on a pig but it's not a beauty queen'.

‘You can stick a flower in a pig’s arsehole, but it doesn’t make it a vase,’ as my friend’s granny used to say.

NameChangedOfc · 20/05/2025 08:00

He should look up Kibbe styles.

I read that in Bridget Jones’ voice.

In the words of Iago (from Aladdin): i think i’m going to have a heart attack and die, from not surprise.

His poor wife could do without all of this.

What’s the deal with his Dad?
Is he a wrong ‘un?

Fairyflaps · 20/05/2025 08:18

Despite all the cuts to local journalism, Conor Gogarty, who wrote the original Wales online article, does a great job of covering local court cases.
One of his specialties is getting the photo of the defendant arriving at court - something that's got him close to being punched on a number of occasions. He is also good at picking up and reporting on the details, like Wallis' outfit, the barrister's misgendering, the seeking haven in Tescos, Wallis's phone going off.

"But Ms Bahra added that her client saw her ex-wife as her “only emotional support” and that this is why she was “reaching out to her”."

Imagine divorcing this trainwreck and his Sugar Daddy dodgy website, needing a screen so you can't see him or be seen, and he still comes out with horrendous manipulative bollocks like "only emotional support"!

No, mate, you are divorced. She never wants to see or hear from you again, she is not in any way your emotional support. Leave her the hell alone!

Christ, that sentence is a gnats wing away from ‘service animal’.

His father's a millionaire who assisted him when he fled the scene after crashing his car.
