The ones I've read recently say that we are jealous because they are more gorgeous than we are (the delightful India Willoughby called us "frumps") even though we have the advantage of being women for longer. But then I've noticed since the judgement quite a few are now calling themselves biological women 🙄so surely that cancels out their argument.
So really, I don't know and it's one hell of a head screw to try and work it out!

Now and then a fairly sensible trans person will pop up on their threads and make an appeal to optics, like maybe don't carry signs threatening to kill women or don't piss all over the pavement to make your point.

Obviously they get downvoted to all hell, called quizlings and are told appeasement will never win the revolution.

They really can't see themselves as others see them.

I don't actually think TERFs are that well organised compared to trans activists.

I mean, we're not the ones who commissioned a major law firm to produce a report on how to sneak all this stuff in by the back door, starting with male rapists in women's prisons. We're not the ones who had an incredibly rich and powerful lobby group "training" every major employer in the country in their version of the law and making them jump through ridiculous hoops to get a special Stonewall badge. We're not the ones who got senior politicians to say women can have penises, and the IOC to say that men compete in women's categories at the Olympics because "everyone agrees that trans women are women".

They were way more organised and way more cunning than us.

They're losing despite all that because they're wrong and insanely unreasonable and almost nobody agrees with them.

To be honest, it must be utterly mind-boggling to them how we managed to stop the juggernaut of self-ID despite most governments, institutions and media being firmly anti-women, though I suppose they’ll think them anti-trans instead.

And I can see that it just be frustrating to have some scientists agreeing with your point of view, eg BMA, and therefore feel like the other side is anti-science because that’s how I feel, albeit from the other side.

Well I for one have obtained two degrees, had a professional career, been in the sandwich generation being a mother and a carer for my parents, been involved with charity campaigning for decades etc etc.
So basically I'm an actual grown up who gets stuff done rather than faffing about wailing about how difficult it's all been (actually, I've done a bit of that too! but not at the expense of getting shit done.)

I think I’m remembering correctly in saying that Bev who started LGB Alliance said that initially, it was older, more financially stable women that could be visibly campaigning as they didn’t need to fear being sacked etc so it GCs were seen as an older/richer demographic.

Of course, that means you can’t see all those behind the the scenes who couldn’t openly speak out, and TRAs don’t take into account that the no debate stance meant people were punished for trying to push back, which meant they were silenced.
