Greens internal drama warms up

New long article looking at the drama inside the Greens over biology suddenly existing again despite their best efforts.

How the Green Party forgot the environment and was torn apart by trans rows
It was a party united by a single mission – to save the planet. But now the gender identity debate has left it divided and in chaos

https://archive.is/TOlNx

The article is already out of date as Zack Polanski of hypnotic breasts fame has just launched a leadership bid against Deyner and Ramsey.

Emma Bateman
It's no secret that big boobs Polanski wants the top job. He is a student politics slogan churner, a self server who distains women and wants misgendering misdemeanours to be grounds for expulsion from the Greens.
He is "LGB with the T"
Still NO DEBATE!

Pro-women Greens article on his background:;
https://concernedgreens.uk/watchlist/zack-polanski/

The existence of biology is likely to be a significant part of the leadership contest for sure so interesting to watch .

Ali Shahrar has launched another legal challenge against the Greens. Gardening needed.

May 27th is the date for Emma Bateman's legal hearing against the Greens.

On May 27th I am in court against Green Party in a case which will expose the contorted lengths the Greens go to in order to shut women up.

It isn't going to go well for the Greens given the Supreme Court ruling. This could be key moment in seeing the ruling's effect on politics and directly impact the leadership contest. It will also be probably be infuriating and hilarious in equal measure.

Thorough article from Julie Bindel

https://unherd.com/2025/10/the-green-partys-war-on-women/

Is Emma Bateman taking legal action?

Very good piece by Julie. I don't know the internal structures of the GPEW, but the way it deals with complaints and discipline looks like the SWP writ large.

You know, I've said for years that watching Ali G Indahouse was 90 minutes I'll never get back, but I never dreamed that even the Green Party would decide it was a blueprint for success.

The Lib Dems, maybe. You never know what they'll do next.

Piers Morgan asks Green Party leader Zack Polanski whether a woman can have a penis - with the conversation ending with Polanski claiming he knows more than the Supreme Court.

Piers pulled a blinder by asking Zack about sports and his answer is as bad as you might think.

Zack Polanski, stated unequivocally that trans athletes should be allowed to compete against women.

Green Party Leader Zack Polanski Says Woman Can Have Penis on Piers Morgan
Last updated

Zack Polanski, leader of the Green Party of England and Wales, affirmed during an October 9, 2025, interview on Piers Morgan Uncensored that a woman can have a penis, distinguishing gender as a spectrum from biological sex to support trans rights and self-identification policies. He referenced the party's LGBTQ+ inclusion stance while challenging a recent UK Supreme Court ruling on sex-based protections. The statement prompted widespread social media criticism questioning his biological knowledge and leadership, alongside some support for his inclusivity focus amid economic issues.

The sports thing is the real disaster. As we know men are generally fine with most aspects of women losing rights, but go mental over sports.

New Statesman's Description of the conference suddenly goes biased when discussing women's rights situation.

‘Zacktivism’ takes over the Green Party conference
The party is louder and more left-wing than ever
By Megan Kenyon
Not everyone was happy. Several former members who had been kicked out of the party for their views on trans rights have now formed their own group outside of the party – ‘Greens in Exile’. Brandishing posters and causing a general nuisance, one or two of these scorned activists attempted to stage a counter protest against the Red Line for Palestine. The group also managed to infiltrate several conference motions, heckling trans members and attempting to disrupt motions related to trans rights.

People should keep pushing "the women have a penis" questions, and the puberty blocker questions, if only for amusement it will bring when his deputy gets wind of it.

NasturtiumsAreUnderrated · 10/10/2025 07:54

@fromorbit The thing is that GPEW is pulling votes from the left of English and Welsh politics, and that audience is unlikely to listen to or pay attention to Piers Morgan, unless it's to assume that anyone he's against is on the side of the angels.

People in Labour treat the 'women can't have a penis' line as a marker of knuckle-dragging, right-wing beliefs and stop listening as soon as it is deployed. Leftie voters probably have a similar reaction.

The interesting thing is this though.

The LD had more members - they peaked after Brexit. What's unique about their membership is the level they were active and actively campaigned. This makes them different. Even those who have left were active.

You have to consider WHY those LDs left. The assumption is they defected to another party but I remain unconvinced by this.

Instead I suspect that the Greens are picking up social media virtue signaller who want to be on the right bandwagon but dont DO a lot and instead follow the latest trend. The latest trend is to join the green and get a sticker and say 'im a green' to all your mates.

But not really to engage much more than that.

And if that's right, as with the LDs it's going to be particularly time limited, rather than a fundamental shift in British politics.

It's NOT like the shift to Reform either. It's much more superficial and transient. And has limited appeal ultimately. It can grow but only to a certain size.

Obviously his bluster is designed to attract those committed Leftists ( for whom women's rights are a minor side issue) but most of the public are not committed Leftists. He looks and sounds extreme to most people. And for him it is all a performance. He's unbearable, actually...so bombastic.

The media love him because they know they can set him up against Reform/Farage. ZP is openly calling them fascists and racists to their faces. The media are almost besides themselves with joy at the spectacle this will bring. They'll be more than happy to set up endless opportunities for them to hurl abuse at each other. Of course whether that's what is best for the country is neither here nor there. ZP is going to get the full Farage treatment of being invited onto everything all the time. He'll hoover up the disaffected left wing votes.

meanwhile there's an actual country that needs running.....

I keep seeing Zack videos popping up on Twitter and elsewhere - fair play to him he’s putting the hours in and they are going all out on the PR. But I find him soooooooooooooo irritating! He is beyond smug, so cheesy and patronising and just gah, and that’s aside from the genderwoo. Is this what people really like in a politician? How are they not seeing what I’m seeing, a patronising posho with his misogyny hanging out? (Still I guess a similar demographic went mad for Corbyn so same old same old,,,)

Theer are quite a number, however, who still prefer, and have loyalty to, Jeremy Corbyn. I understand they ( Corbyn and Sultanah )were in Liverpool yesterday, to a rapturous reception.

Like you say, though, what is required now is pragmatic politics, not ideological showboating.

Farage seems to have wider appeal, though, and is not completely detatched from reality, or from the concerns of the various demographics that might vote for him. Polanski is pure ideologcal zealotry for those that are still clinging to the revolution and the promised land that will follow,

Farage - much as I detest the man - is uniquely gifted in being able to connect with people on a personal level and what he says seems like common sense to many, both on the left and the right. ZP has neither of these qualities.

It is a bit......but when Polanski gets questioned on his attitudes towards puberty blockers, child transition and men in women's sports ( which he'll try to avoid and waive away as 'transphobia') he'll show himself up for what he is....someone who is also riding on an out of date ticket. Things have moved on from women having a penis now.......everyone knows they don't, and many are now far better educated on the excesses of the trans rights movement.....the one he is still riding.

Many of the people who rushed in their droves to vote for him are the Japanese soldiers of the TRA movement. I agree that he should be asked these awkward questions at every opportunity.

Bwahshaha! Brilliant! As thick and intransigent as Sturgeon, with even the extra arrogance to try and brazen it out.

Amazing. Knows more than the Supreme Court, ladies and gents! Fantastic.

Maybe this is the reason people find him compelling - its the promise of such batshit assertions made with glorious over confidence! Great TV! More please!

This is wonderful.

Shortshriftandlethal · 10/10/2025 09:20

In my mind I'm thinking that all of this retrograde clinging to ideological dogma will start to lose its strength by mid spring next year.

At present there is lots of reactionary impulse being stirred up in response to Labour's shift towards the centre and towards a more pragmatic politics, and to Reform's growing ability to determine the wider agenda. Also the Supreme Court ruling came as a blow that many have yet to come to terms with ( up-coming actions and court cases for non compliance will focus the mind even more)

I'm thinking that what happens next in the Middle East ( will a ceasefire persist and will there be concerted efforts to move towards a two state solution free of Hamas?) will be key. Those still clinging on to the radical Left agenda tend to pin so much of their political identity onto being anti Israel that any move towards a workable settlement will really throw the whole 'progressive' project into chaos.
