Just fancied a bit of relaxation. Put on Antiques Roadshow, up pops RMW, there's no escape!

What did they value him at?

TwoLeftSocksWithHoles · 04/05/2025 21:07

Regulated Medical Waste? 😵

CriticalCondition · 04/05/2025 21:16

I saw him too. Or rather heard him because I was doing something else and looked up when I recognised his voice. It was the AR special for VE Day and he was talking very enthusiastically to the militaria expert about his grandfather's service pistol.

SabrinaThwaite · 04/05/2025 21:17

TBF it was quite an interesting piece about RMW’s grandfather in WWII.

Allseeingallknowing · 04/05/2025 21:18

RMW?
Oh, Roy Matthew Davies! Haven’t seen him for ages!

SabrinaThwaite · 04/05/2025 21:19

And I always enjoy the military and medals guy, he always comes across as thoughtful and slightly in awe of what these people went through.

I find it slightly worrying he's got a pistol.

They did make the point that the weapon had been, erm, deactivated.

LizzieSiddal · 04/05/2025 21:22

Is this the man who behaved in a very intimidating way towards Rosie in Parliament?

Ereshkigalangcleg · 04/05/2025 21:22

LOL

exwhyzed · 04/05/2025 21:23

Oh was that who it was!!

I'd obviously clocked that they's voice sounded very male, didn't realise it was also a celeb.

Was quite an interesting piece.

No that’s Loyd Russell Moyle.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 04/05/2025 21:24

RMW is a TRA barrister.

UrsulasHerbBag · 04/05/2025 21:25

He’s a wrong ‘un.

No, that was Lloyd Russell Moyle.

Ex MP.

murasaki · 04/05/2025 21:27

I thought it was him. I was in the kitchen, dp said 'isn't that a man', I stuck my head round, and said 'oh, it's RMW! The one I kept mentioning from the court cases'.

'Ah, that wazzock' was the response. He does listen sometimes.

It was interesting though.

That's Mark Smith He often chokes up when he's talking about the bravery of an individual behind a group of medals. Lovely man.

Thanks, who are we talking about then? 😂

Annoyedone · 04/05/2025 21:37

@LizzieSiddal a er…lawyer who often struggles with bundles and winning cases. Friends with the fox killer.

That’s the one. Very engaging, he was definitely getting teary about the young glider pilot.

TheUnusuallyQuerulentMxLauraBrown · 04/05/2025 21:38

Did you say ‘Bundlejuice’ 3 times immediately before turning the telly on?

Gardeninging · 04/05/2025 21:39

Robin M White?

Gardeninging · 04/05/2025 21:41

The one who never wins a case

Madcats · 04/05/2025 21:42

It was illuminating for the rest of my family, whilst DH had a break from watching the snooker. We’d not planned to watch that programme.

I still find it impressive that so many people stayed quiet about the work they were doing/did at Bletchley.

Wrong war, but I was reminded of the lyrics to the song “Do your ears hang low?”. Some of those war songs and campfire songs are gooduns.

Leafstamp · 04/05/2025 21:45

He’s popped up on this board in the past I think. Nasty man.
