I once saw Éanna on one of those blokey panel shows where two lots of resident blokes show off how clever and funny they are, with an added, often somewhat uncomfortable, guest.

When I saw that Éanna was the guest, I feared for her - the blokes were surely going to make fun of her appearance [that photo does not represent her usual hairdo....] or her accent or her 'borderline deranged enthusiasm' for nature or just because she's an older woman -

Not a bit of it! I don't know if she had a houseful of teenage sons at the time, or what, but she didn't give them an inch and completely bossed the situation with great humour and was the star of the show

I got a whole new layer of respect for her after that!

This has the makings of a great art fraud - you create a backstory for an artist called Hartseven and then get AI to produce images that you reproduce and release on to the art market when you have created a global profile for him..or her... and a huge pent-up demand for his work. Which then fetch top prices.

I don't know, most likely it overheated (control element broken?), the metal got soft and bend down. I only noticed because there was smoke coming from the oven. I had put a tray with leftover chips onto the shelf in the middle, thinking I'll eat them as a snack while cooking dinner, but they got so close to the overheated metal they almost caught on fire.

Curiosity got the better of me and I looked up My Master Builder reviews and realised I should really get a job as a theatre critic. ‘McEwan struggles to animate MMB’, ‘ill-constructed’ and, the most erudite of summaries: ‘a load of old nonsense’. A Telegraph article mentions it while discussing generally shite revisioning of old classics.

I think the lack of a standing ovation at the performance I attended may have been the norm…
