Galatians 3:28

28 There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, 28 There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

Read full chapter is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

Gospel of Thomas, Saying 22

22. Jesus saw some babies nursing. He said to his disciples, "These nursing babies are like those who enter the (Father's) kingdom."
They said to him, "Then shall we enter the (Father's) kingdom as babies?"
Jesus said to them, "When you make the two into one, and when you make the inner like the outer and the outer like the inner, and the upper like the lower, and when you make male and female into a single one, so that the male will not be male nor the female be female, when you make eyes in place of an eye, a hand in place of a hand, a foot in place of a foot, an image in place of an image, then you will enter [the kingdom]."

I am not interested in your answer to the question of whether you believe the above two passages support or do not support being non-binary or transgender. People will always disagree over how to interpret religious texts.

Many non-binary and transgender individuals do however consider how they identify their gender , to be an expression of their religious/ spiritual beliefs. The above two passages are just two examples from Christian religious texts that can be interpreted as non-binary and transgender identities being expressions of religious/ spiritual teachings.

My question therefore is:

Does defining gender as having to be either male or female under law therefore violate the separation of church and state?

This is why the monarch cannot marry a Roman Catholic - because a Roman Catholic monarch would mean the Pope would be the head of the church and state.

I'm sure this is correct, but I don't understand it. Queen Camilla isn't a reigning queen, only consort. So why (if she were RC would that make the Pope the head of the state not King Charles?

Sorry, I'm obviously being thick.

When a RC marries a non-RC, the kids are meant to be brought up RC. So an RC consort would have RC kids, making the heir apparent RC. Which isn't allowed.

The alternative would be for the RC consort to very publically disobey the teachings of the Church, which would bring the UK into conflict with the Vatican.

No. Sex / Gender is male or female and is not relevant to the division of church and state , under which you can believe whatever you wish as long as it doesn't break the law of the land.

Ah right. That makes sense. Thank you.

Is this a resurgence of the dump and run style of posters?

Looks like op was fishing for far right Christian’s perspective, to take to other sites and got a mini theological debate instead.

😂

I don’t think that this poster gets much of what they expect on their threads. They dump and run and FWR just turn the thread into what they want to it to be.

That would be an ecumenical matter.

Nutter

As in Agnes Nutter? At risk of outing, this lady inhabits a gateway locally. A well-spirit originally, I think.
