Oh dear, what a car crash. Well done Tom. I listened to this on my drive home and if you get the chance to listen on catch-up you will see her thought process is mind numbing.

I keep hearing this all over the place: "case-by-case basis", "individuals can decide" - just no, you can't wheedle around responsibility.

HaveYouActuallyDoneAnyWashingThisWeekMum · 11/03/2025 22:28

Is she really an MP 😮

I am watching football and I am discussing other football matches I am not watching with my family on whatsapp. I am double footballing. Am I womaning wrong?

I did wear a skirt today.

Nope, definitely womaning correctly there.

Everyone knows men can't multitask.

Also co leader of the Green Party. Wonder if any of them are squirming with embarrassment tonight. To think how many traditional members were ejected from the Green Party for the crime of wrongspeak.

3/10. Room for improvement.

I listened to it in the car on my way home from the pub (I'm a woman what lunches) and found myself generally agreeing to what she was saying about taxing the very wealthy and then boom! The gender question!! Tom was brilliant. She absolutely had no idea how to answer his questions 😀 However, she did seem to agree that services could decide for themselves, not sure she meant it though.

This was me too. I’ve listened to her make some good points on certain green policies like tax and like what I hear but then this nonsense

Tom Swarbrick 👏

NonCrimeHakeIncident · 11/03/2025 23:01

I do feel there’s been more questioning recently, of really pushing for an answer. I haven’t got the clip but Nick Ferrari interviewed Stephen Whittle recently and SW is clearly so used to such a softly, softly approach that when NF really challenged them she hung up!

illinivich · 11/03/2025 23:48

However, she did seem to agree that services could decide for themselves, not sure she meant it though.

That position leaves women and girls not knowing who is entitled to use a given space. Some services may be women only, but others may include men with or without a GRC.

A gym cannot advertise having facilities it does not have. It can't redefine a paddling pool as an olympic size pool, but can advertise female only sessions and changing rooms when they include men?

I cant believe shes seen a more experienced politicians flounder but has such confidence in her skills she went there.

Poonu · 11/03/2025 23:49

Can't stand LBC anymore

Yes it's a shame as she's said some other things about non gender shit that I think are really great.

Now 4 green MPs; worth noting which two spout this shit and which two say nothing. Including the other co chair.

ArabellaScott · 11/03/2025 21:27

the sheer terror on her face!

[Oh god, oh god, I can't answer, what can I say, I can't back down, please, don't make me answer]

Fantastic.....the emperor, very clearly, has no clothes.

Shortshriftandlethal · 12/03/2025 09:43

That Tom Swarbrick is quite dishy!

SerenaSemolena · 12/03/2025 09:51

Well, I'm still in bed. And when I do get up, I'm going to the pub.
Am I living as a man? Should I shave or something?

The emperor has no clothes on, has tied ribbons onto his cock and is currently helicoptering it around on prime time TV while singing the Marsellaise. To applause from people like Carla.

Ellie Chowns is my MP. She supports self-ID and says the primary threat to women’s rights is from men, not from trans people.
Who knows whether she actually believes any of it, but I'm with Sall Grover on this

He’s my favourite host. I have some slightly differing of opinion from him on certain topics but the way he engages with things is so logical, honest and he doesn’t care about looking ‘down with the kids’ à la Natasha Devon

Yes. She reminds me of a sixth former that has just discovered politics and is very excited to share her grown up opinions with her slightly dimmer classmates.

Typical of many who come straight out of university and into political careers.
i wonder what her degree was in?

I didn't realise she was 39. How do you get to that age and continue to spout such unconsidered gufff.

She’s actually an engineer, and I think she worked in engineering briefly which is of course impressive but she’s far from having long experience of proper working life.

Seems she's been involved in politics since her twenties....as a local councillor.

Wildflowers99 · 12/03/2025 10:14

And it isn’t lost on me that all of the adults pushing for transgender ideology don’t have children. That is of course not to say that childfree adults all thing this way, I think the majority don’t. But the ones who do tend not to - Owen Jones, Natasha Devon, Adrian Harrop, Carla Denyer. Not in the least because if they actually had children they’d realise how mentally underdeveloped and susceptible to brainwashing they are. They just see other people’s children on display and think ‘wow, what a bright young thing.’ If they were to speak to my 6 year old she could tell them about digraphs and Queen Victoria, and they’d be mistake than she has her own mind that is on a level that she knows herself. They would miss the bit where she comes home and asks me to help her toilet, before asking when the tooth fairy will come.

Totally agree. He winds me up hugely on one topic, but that’s ok as I love how he won’t let go. Love Shelagh too, she is the ultimate careful professional and very fair without taking any shit. I find Natasha Devon infuriating on this topic, but good on many others.

The Greens in Scotland as well, awful. As a left leaning something of the environmentalist woman it’s sad that the parties that would and were at one time my natural home have lost me.
