Biological facts = transphobia

No, transphobic words and deeds = transphobia.

'Looking at the wrong end of the spider'should be come a saying. If anyone has work meeting with daft business speak, I challenge you to introduce it.

On a more serious note- I have committed a misinformation. Ankylosaurs are dinosaurs, and I apologise for any alarm or offence I may have caused by denying it.

As penance, I will spend the rest of the day racking my brains.to remember the name of the similar lumpy-armoured but non-diosaurian animal I was thinking of. It's very much the same.sort of body shape, but its legs stick out sideways.

Handy key to femur angles:

  • - reptile

Are you perhaps thinking of Dimetrodon? They're often represented in Dinosaurian illustrations because they look super-cool, but pre-date dinosaurs by tens of millions of years and were actually from the mammal-like-reptile lineage which ultimately led to... us! Shock

No, transphobic words and deeds = transphobia.

Define transphobic words and deeds.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 05/02/2025 09:42

Ok now we are getting somewhere.

What words and deeds here are transphobic?

Kucinghitam · 05/02/2025 09:44

BTW, who can I complain to that my squillion-dollar cheque from the AmeriChristianFarRightNazis didn't include a dragon?

We had a long thread on that the other day, and ended up as: transphobia is another term for believing sex is real.

Not that sex defines anything about behavior, clothes, anything like that. Just that it is real.

https://www.thoughtco.com/things-to-know-dimetrodon-1093785

'dimetrodon was actually a type of prehistoric reptile known as a pelycosaur, and it lived during the Permian period, 50 million years or so before the first dinosaurs had even evolved. Pelycosaurs themselves were more closely related to therapsids, or "mammal-like reptiles," than to the archosaurs that spawned the dinosaurs —which means, technically speaking, that dimetrodon was closer to being a mammal than to being a dinosaur. '

😮

How Much Do You Know About Dimetrodon?

Dimetrodon was a sail-backed reptile that lived tens of millions of years before the first dinosaurs evolved. Here are 10 fascinating Dimetrodon facts.

Define transphobic words and deeds.

I'd love to hear an answer to this, too, please.

Again, sincere question. It'd be so good to hear reasonable arguments.

I mean you'd think by the claims by the plopper posters that this place is a 'cesspit of transphobia' then examples shouldn't be too hard to provide.

It's almost like.... there aren't any.

Most of the world considers a lesbian to be a female who is exclusively attracted to females. This is considered transphobic by people such as the OP who think that lesbians should be happy to suck dicks if said dick owner says he's a woman.

Luckily most people would recognise this as a highly homophobic view but those in the bubble that OP lives in refuse to see anything wrong with harassing anyone that disagrees with them.

Where exactly did OP say she thinks lesbians should be happy to suck dicks? Why do you assume that simply stating that she is non-transphobic means beliefs like this? You do realise that failing to be transphobic doesn't mean you automatically embrace every aspect of transsexual beliefs, don't you? Guess what, as in all areas of human life, opinions vary.

You know perfectly well that the transphobic posts get deleted by MN. You choose to close your eyes to that fact.

But please can you explain what you mean by 'transphobic'? A pp said that anyone who didn't 'agree' with gender identity was 'transphobic'. Is that what you mean?

No, transphobic words and deeds = transphobia.

So please define 'transphobic', @Phthia ? Is it, in your view, a rape survivor (or Domestic Violence survivor/victim) who needs female only safe single sex spaces?

Please do answer.

So now you've told us what 'failing to be transphobic' is, maybe you could crack on with what are 'transphobic words and deeds'

Can the gender identity true believers please send someone with better arguments and an ability to discuss them?

TIA.

Define transphobic words and deeds. It’s not difficult if you have witnessed them on this forum, as you’ve said.

It’s getting tiring. Shit or get off the pan.

If you struggle with the meaning of words, there are several good dictionaries available online.

Were you thinking of Dimetrodon?

That was in my dinosaur books in the 70s but isn’t one (hips like a lizard).

fear/loathing of trans people?

Is what I'd define it as. But people's definitions seem to vary, as I pointed out pp's definition was very different.

Is it this "Prejudice or negative attitudes, beliefs or views about trans people. This can include the fear or dislike of someone based on the fact they are, or are perceived to be trans." or the old one which specified "including denying their gender identity or refusing to accept it."?
