EXECUTIVE ORDER
January 29, 2025"

"Section 1. Purpose and Policy. Parents trust America’s schools to provide their children with a rigorous education and to instill a patriotic admiration for our incredible Nation and the values for which we stand.
In recent years, however, parents have witnessed schools indoctrinate their children in radical, anti-American ideologies while deliberately blocking parental oversight. Such an environment operates as an echo chamber, in which students are forced to accept these ideologies without question or critical examination. In many cases, innocent children are compelled to adopt identities as either victims or oppressors solely based on their skin color and other immutable characteristics. In other instances, young men and women are made to question whether they were born in the wrong body and whether to view their parents and their reality as enemies to be blamed. These practices not only erode critical thinking but also sow division, confusion, and distrust, which undermine the very foundations of personal identity and family unity."

I'm actually stunned that those things have been put into words. Very clear words.

Oooh hurrah! Who is writing these things? Is there are a secret FWR poster on Trump's team? Couldn't be clearer.

Trying to gaslight children into a position of parental alienation is abusive - children who are not in the care of their parents have far worse life outcomes. It's pure evil. For any parents that ARE abusive there's already a system for reporting and taking children into care but given - in the UK at least - children in care are sexually abused at a far higher rate than children not in care (see grooming gangs - who targeted children's homes) then it has to be very much more serious that not sharing a belief in 'gender identity' to do that.

And also, given very very serious safeguarding failings in the UK, we know that the safeguarding framework hasn't and doesn't protect children from truly abusive parents. I'd argue partly because it's been undermined by progressive brain rot.

Love it! Completely agree that attributing someone the label of oppressor based on their skin colour and NOTHING that have done is damaging both to the person and to relations between races. I am only responsible for my actions, not those of the generations that have come before me.

I'm very pleased about the references to critical examination and critical thinking. Those skills are in short supply on our side of the pond too.

You see, I keep wondering was JD Vance there at at least some of the initial planning meetings. He knows from the inside what being dependent on the state education system is.

Wouldn't that be great? I wonder how the trans captured labour politicians are viewing this? I know they've had their hands in their ears for years while transactivists run amok in all our services. But this is so clear and child centred - it'll be hard to counter it with "oh no, we believe schools should be centres of transactivism, gaslighting children that they can change sex and a lifetime of poor physical amd mental health".

Hopefully journalists are getting ready to challenge Bridget Phillipson about her current inaction on weeding transactivism out of British schools.

Wish we could have this here. When questioned about their approach to kids choosing not to use other people’s preferred pronouns, the head at our local high school assured me that nobody would get in trouble. They would be educated (in lunchtime sessions) and their behaviour monitored to ‘help them improve’ 😱

Yes the quality of the writing is definitely a thing. This is someone? a team? who’ve been through these arguments time and time again. They know what they are trying to achieve and they know what they’re up against. I’m no Trump fan, but this is truly beautiful

It would be interesting if our politicians were asked to comment on these EOs. TV and radio journalists need to shape up and start asking difficult questions.

Given who has just taken control and what they stand for it is fucking NUTS to see this sentence as anything other than ominous at best. It's wording I would expect to see come from Russian or Chinese governments.

Much though I agree that a lot of what has gone on in schools around gender identity is akin to indoctrination and blocking parental oversights, there's the emphasis on American Ideologies again. It's a dystopian type of ominous reference to How Great America Could Be If Only You Would All Do And Think Like The State Requires You To, in the wider context of Trump's vision for America, in my opinion.

Putting gender identity aside and focusing on skin colour for a moment, and through the filter of Trump politics another way of saying this would be "we don't want children to learn about how they might be being oppressed because of their race and we want them to shut up complaining about racism and just accept it".

The irony of this statement coming from an administration that very obviously wants to erode critical thinking (and) also sow division, confusion, and distrust. Trumpian policies are about forcing conformity with extreme Republican ideals - which include sowing distrust and division against anything and anybody Not American, including those who are Not American Enough.

It's eerie as fuck in my view, not positive.

Personally I also support getting rid of the CRT type stuff as well - I think it has directly led to an increase in "white consciousness" by pitting different races against each other, particularly among young men.

I am no fan of the current Labour party, but they have been in government for less than a year so cannot shoulder all the blame for the current mess in education and public bodies.

Trump has clearly spent the past 4 years gathering a crack team of policy advisors, so far I am impressed, and I never thought I would say that about a Trump administration!

What the USA seems to be tackling is the wave of naked political transactivism etc that should be nowhere near children and schools.

For what it's worth, many of the women on this board are long standing "left wing" feminists who have discovered that standing up for women's rights and stating that children shouldn't be taught they can be born in the wrong body apparently identifies us as "right wing, fascist bigots" (other smears are available) 🙄
