That substack is bonkers.
We can prove there's a conspiracy because Jon Del Arroz did a YouTube video on the story the same day the story broke.
I follow JDA. I don't agree with everything he says by any means, his politics are not mine, but he's a smart and well connected guy who has interesting and informed things to say about pop culture. He's especially connected in the comics and SFF field, and he hates Neil Gaiman, he's long said Gaiman was a creep.
And he's hyperactive. He doesn't see a news story, ruminate on it for a week, and put out a 10,000 word article. He sees a huge scandal about one of the most prominent writers in his field, he does a quick punchy video about it, then follows it up with more quick punchy videos as more details emerge. That's how JDA rolls.
I don't know Julie Bindel, maybe she has a deep love of comics and SFF that I'm not aware of, but I would be surprised if she'd even heard of Jon Del Arroz, let alone be close enough to conspire with him.
As for the idea that there was a calculated hit on Gaiman to take him out of public discourse in the runup to the Supreme Court ruling in FWS... that's approaching Jolyon Maugham levels of absurd.
If Gaiman needs someone to write "investigations" exonerating him, couldn't his Scientology friends find someone better?
