I don't have a doorbell at all!

I don't have a doorbell at all!

I think that's the solution to a useless doorbell that doesn't work. Don't have one, then perhaps people will make more of an effort to find out whether you are in or not.

ifIwerenotanandroid · 21/12/2024 19:52

sigh OK, I'll put it with the others, then.

What's happened to your lab coat? It looks like you're going to go out to the opera after you finished in the lab.

lcakethereforeIam · 21/12/2024 20:27

We've got a ring doorbell! Don't know where it is though, fella ordered it, it's likely still in its box in a cupboard somewhere. We don't have a bell, but we do have a doorknocker. Callers might just be able to see it through the frosted glass in our actual front door.

Doesn't stop the Evri driver making no effort to either check or alert us to a delivery, but most people can find the doorknocker.

I'm very jealous of your new lab coat. Would the gerbils be able to do me a special offer?

For a minute there, I thought you wanted a special otter. I was off to the lab when I realised my mistake.

What garment would you like to be embellished?

Magpiecomplex · 21/12/2024 20:40

@ifIwerenotanandroid lab coat please, I spend a lot of time in mine! If they could tailor it to fit around my generous norkage too, that would be even better. Apparently something like 80% of lab coat wearers don't like their lab coat.

ifIwerenotanandroid · 21/12/2024 20:43

The gerbils have already got to work - they're quick. I'll get them to work on lab coats.

Let's not get started on Evri drivers. Much too close to reality .... Meanwhile back at the Bluestocking ...

Where do all these little fuzzy blobs come from? Do we have an infestation?

Quite a few posts ago in this thread I remember somebody - was it you magpie - saying that those fuzzy blobs are actually droppings. I mean, I think there was a bird over the one pictured.

ifIwerenotanandroid · 21/12/2024 20:57

OK, just give your vital statistics to the gerbils & it'll be ready tomorrow morning.

Magpiecomplex · 21/12/2024 20:58

Much appreciated, Android!

No mate, that's the Gluestocking in the second picture - it says so on that woman's apron. You know, that pub where the clocks have no hands & they employ giant gerbils? It's just down the street & we get their mail all the time?

AlisonDonut · 21/12/2024 21:11

I have to say the padlock/good scissors combo is genius.

Anyway, I have made a fair few cat bowls for cats, these are some of my Bowie bowls for cat snacks. They are about 2.5 inches diameter.

I've made two big ones, for the house humans, but they are in the kiln and haven't been glazed yet.

Congratulations @AlisonDonut . Those look great and definitely fit for purpose.

AlisonDonut · 22/12/2024 09:04

Conger off Donger made it, if the glaze is a little drippy.

Grim Butts got stuck to a cookie so I'll be dremeling that off later.

Both good to go for festive cheap Baileys and ice or sloe gin.
