Ugh.

I was on the tube the other day sitting next to a "trans-woman". (Inverted commas as there was nothing remotely womanly about him, other than that he was wearing a skirt and knee-high boots.)

He was staring intently at his phone the whole time without typing or scrolling and as I glanced over I happened to notice he was looking at a list including such things as "delaying orgasm" and "improving build-up to orgasm". I ended up feeling like I had been unwillingly involved in his sordid little obsessive fantasy, and I still feel slightly queasy about it several days later.

Then to top it off, a (male, able-bodied) "friend" announced that he didn't see any reason why everyone (i.e. men) shouldn't use women's toilets and disabled toilets. And why don't people make a fuss about trans-men using men's toilets?

I sincerely wish all these men would just fuck off and stop encroaching into women's physical and metaphysical spaces.

We can talk about other examples of male fetishes impacting negatively on women and children, feeling there's something off, feeling you're being used or are in danger, why not this?

Plenty of men have been quite open about the sexual motive. And it's not like we can't see and don't know when we're being used as unconsenting props.

I'm amazed this thread is still here.

I'm glad it is, as it's important that people (particularly women) can share their experiences of how this affects them and how it affects society at large.

My one and only deletion on MN was about this subject and I think it was because of the way that I contributed to a thread that someone had started about a TW at their work. The OP of that thread had mentioned a workshop which the TW had led to help everyone at work be more inclusive.. Some of the things that the employees were told suggested that the person leading the workshop might be a frequent flyer. So I said so on the thread.

It's not an illegal paraphilia and it's not hateful to talk about it. It's important that there are places to do that. Hopefully this comment won't be my second deletion and hopefully this thread will stay put 🤞

MNHQ is in a difficult position, I totally understand that. But the public really does need to be aware of this. I am so grateful for this board and I know that things have already changed (for the better) on what can be spoken about on it.

We must be able to talk about it.
Those women who are Transwidows who have been abused by their husbands for years and those women sexually assaulted by AGPs must be able to talk about it.

Otherwise we are holding one type of male abuser sacred and one type of abuse untouchable.

Trans is not a sacred caste, it is simply a word that people use for themselves. Abuse is real, insidious and happening right now in women's prisons, women's workplaces and women's homes, and some of these men are perpetrating that abuse. It is not acceptable to not be able to discuss it in the light.

Women WILL discuss it. And we will keep discussing it. And we will not stop discussing it until the safeguarding b be boundaries are tightened up again so that the there is no sacred caste who can trespass simply by putting on a skirt.

I get what WarriorN is saying. This is a fairly recent alteration though (or we would never have needed the Malaga Airport code on these threads) and shows the at first gradual, now storming trend toward reality-accepting words and concepts.

Like BonfireLady I came back worried that this thread would be gone. I've been here since this was all fields and I have been deleted for stating that AGP is a thing. I also feel people like the guy on the tube do our work for us just by being their genuine selves.
