Quite. Men were allowed to colonise women's sports categories, awards, toilets, rape shelters because of people's silence. Thanks, indeed, for nothing.

"For the record, I was not involved, nor asked to be involved, in any of the "studies" that any golf organization has just used to ban me, the only active golfer who is actually affected by these policy changes," Davidson concluded.
Why would you be? There's a massive conflict of interest. And a sample of one isn't a sample.

Interestingly the journalist only used the female pronoun once in the whole article referring to the player as Davidson all the way through.

Wonder if the editor forced him to use it at least once.

I can understand Hailey’s pain because I too have been banned from the British Junior Golf Tour simply because I am an adult woman. I refute that I have any unfair advantage over the children in the BJGT and my evidence for this is that they have lower handicaps than me. This has nothing to do with the fact I have never played golf. Also I was never invited to take part in any research looking at performance differences between adults and children.
