I wonder how many of the 99 actual women have similar instagram pictures? I'm guessing none.

Last time I looked, they were well over 400 trans people working at the BBC. What's the betting that anything's that got the word woman in it, they all decide they must find a man to be included, and then put pressure on all the higher ups to do it, or else.

It took me all of four minutes on Google to find some exemplary women grassroots environmentalists in South America who have effected significant change with few resources and absolutely no male privilege.

I wondered if the choice of name came from Bardot. No prizes for guessing why he stole her name (spoiler, it's not because of her work in animal rights).

If I was one of the women on that list (I've checked and I'm not 😕), I'd be tempted to contact the Beeb and demand that my name was removed. I wouldn't want to be a part of a cheap gesture that reduces women to a token setting to display one man. A particularly grim example of one at that.

I don't blame the women on the list for not bothering though. They've probably got better things to do than worry about the BBC's dick pandering.
