Gemini's attempt at the Scottish octopus! Four knitted garments, but all on the same, double-ended and pointless, knitting needle.

I think it's safe to say that artificial intelligence has no idea what the craft of knitting is and how you do it 🙄

Magpiecomplex · 17/10/2024 16:55

That's so hiccuty! 😂
The first unreliable parrot, that is...

ifIwerenotanandroid · 17/10/2024 16:56

So AI doesn't understand:

knitting
Morris dancing
normal middle-aged women
snakes eating their tails
human anatomy
spelling

Anything else?

So did I ... placed mine in a science lab tho, which the AI wasn't quite clear about (science labs only occur in old films, I suppose)

I like the way they're all looking at the parrot as if it's about to explode! Less keen on the sex ratio in that picture though.

inkymoose · 17/10/2024 17:00

There are many other things the AI doesn't understand.

Tunnocks tea cakes
Taking something out of a picture when it's not wanted
Counting, specific numbers of things are impossible for it to do
Normal women of any kind

How trays work, based on the number of levitating ones the gerbils have been pictured with

Even when you specifically ask for women, you always get men.
😬

ifIwerenotanandroid · 17/10/2024 17:03

Yes, as Inky said, if you tell it to leave something out (as I did with men in the bar), it puts them in.

Trays - absolutely. Its output is a lot like The Philadelphia Experiment.

But someone had brilliant Tunnockseses. I've no idea how they did that.

Or how anything is held up really. I wonder who is Training these AIs. For instance, look at this image I asked for of Mr magpie trying to get away from a terrifying cake. The woman in the picture appears to be trying to hold up her own face with someone else's hand

a robot parrot , malfunctioning with sparks flying while knitting

I might add '& morris dancing with a middle-aged woman'.

😂I tried it earlier on but the results were so weird I didn't put them up (esp. #1).

It's selective. It chooses certain aspects of your request and utterly ignores other aspects of it. I've managed to get it to do tunnocks tea cakes from time to time, but it's always at the expense of some other detail that I particularly wanted. There's no magpie in this image for instance. It just wouldn't put her in, it wouldn't include a proper beetle and there are far too many puffins, and the moose is not standing like a moose at all

FFSAI at least let your ancient women hold their knitting properly, they all got taught in school you know.

In fairness to AI, this is fairly true to life, OK maybe not always but....Grin

ifIwerenotanandroid · 17/10/2024 17:19

(That was about Inky's wonderful picture.)

We're all doomed, aren't we?

I was wondering that but I think they've gone into kill mode...

@inkymoose <steals tea cake>

DeanElderberry · 17/10/2024 17:21

That's a middle-aged thrill-seeking male furry pretending to be a moose, the woman is (foolishly imo) pretending not to have noticed so as not to cause offence when she leaves.

😂

The woman is an android. She hasn't been switched on properly and she definitely needs a better wig

ifIwerenotanandroid · 17/10/2024 17:24

At least the puffins look real. What IS that draped over the tea cake bottom right? I hope Banned didn't steal that one.😬

Nice plate full under the puffins foot

Probably a swatch of artificial skin from the android woman. Best avoided.

No such thing as too many puffins!
