I'm so sad to see her go, she was the shining light within the Labour camp.

I hope more of them have her courage and stick two fingers up to Starmer's party. It's not a Labour party in anything but name.

There's rumours of a left wing party potentially coming out of the shadows. What the fuck makes this government think after Britain's suffering right wing policies since 1979 that more of the same is going to pull us out of the hole we're in.

They're just in it for themselves. Same trough, different colours. Say what you like about Corbyn. He couldn't be bought. The ultra high net worth lifestyle didn't interest him at all. This bunch, you really can't put hand on heart and say the same, can you?

Corbyn was bought. Just in different ways. It wasn’t about just money for him. His was a whole different set of illness.

Rosie. Flowers

A woman of principles.

They will bin Starmer off next year.
They will lose the plot, go hard left, fuck the economy, and the Tories will regroup and force a confidence vote in 2025/26.

MalcolmTuckersBollockingface · 28/09/2024 19:00

The Labour Party do not deserve her and they are a complete embarrassment. I'm pleased that she will remain as an independent candidate. Good for her!

I to think his days are numbered, and I predict that Free Gear Kier will be stabbed in the back by Angela Rayner, it'll be Momentum who gives her the knife, she'll be caretaker PM for just as long as it takes Moment to get Corbyn installed as the new PM.

MissMaryBennet · 28/09/2024 19:00

What is the nepotism she is talking about?

Agree the hard left will fuck the economy even more than Starmer’s policies

She does say "how angry I and my colleagues are" which I'm reading as perhaps more will follow

The first that springs to mind Liam Conlon. Son of sue gray parachuted into a safe Labour seat, campaign bank rolled by Lord Alli.

I'm sure there is more, there usually is in politics

They might not, but starmer, his wife, and raynors grubby freeloading antics are shameful and must be viewed negatively by most back benchers. With their free clothes holidays and clothes,

I can’t imagine any of them think it’s positive,

lonelywater · 28/09/2024 19:22

not sure if this is related, but keep seeing on X that something massive is going to blow in the papers tomorrow that will finish Starmer instantly. Probably bollocks but we shall see....

Lovelyview · 28/09/2024 19:23

The BBC report actually covers her gender critical beliefs in a fairly neutral way. 'She believes there should be protected spaces where those born male are not allowed to go, like domestic violence refuges and prisons, and she is against people being able to self-identify as trans to gain access to those spaces.' It's not identifying as trans that's the problem it's males identifying as women but apart from that it's a fair effort.

Labour have always 'kept it in the family', the Benns, the Kinnocks, the Millabands, the Reeves etc.

Mouglaseast · 28/09/2024 19:26

Good for her. It's going to get worse for Labour

I guess you were not paying attention to Corbyn's junkets at various islamist conferences in countries like Malaysia and wreathlaying activities for terrorists. Yeah and that job at Press TV shilling for the ayatollahs.

Indeed. I was privileged to hear her speak at a recent WRN evening do and she was lovely - sincere, principled, angry. Am saddened, but not surprised, that Labour cannot accommodate her but, frankly, the hypocrisy of the Starmer and his cabinet, combined with the abject idiocy of some of his appointees, suggests she is wise to dissociate from the party.

Yes that was my first thought as well

It says so much

Nah, the woman’s got morals, she’s objecting to how bad it is now; the grifting, the grubbing, the lying.

StainlessSteelMouse · 28/09/2024 20:15

It seems to be all sections of the party going off Keir at the moment. Give it much longer, and the only thing keeping him in power will be the fear that one day we'll wake up with David Lammy as PM and think "how the fuck did that happen?"

Yep they are all dire

And worse

ReadWithScepticism · 28/09/2024 20:37

Oooff. There is properly smoke coming off that resignation letter.
