I want to add that it's also interesting just how male Blokey McBlokeface is, despite obviously putting some effort in, there's a big uncanny valley feeling when I watch the video. It's almost like lying about reality isn't the winner he thinks it is.

Until the last 10 years, I always had a lifelong dream to visit British Columbia and Vancouver, sadly that dream has wilted quite significantly since identitarian politics took up home there 🙁

We use MLA in N Ireland to distinguish between representatives elected to sit in Stormont and the MPs at Westminster, Arabella. Well, actually we use other less formal terms a lot too but I wouldn’t wish to sully your delicate eyes by typing them 😬

I'd put it under the heading of Operation Let Them Speak - what a perfect example of entitled, misguided, irrational, disrespectful, intolerant, opinionated bullying.

It might do a lot of 'peaking' of people who up to now think that the GCers are exaggerating the degree of intolerance from the TRA side..

It's a nice city. It's really a shame about the politics.

My extended family in Canada come in two basic types, Vancouver Irish and Alberta Mormon, so I've got a foot in both bits of western Canada.

So her mistake was apparently saying what she believed rather than sticking to the script, which upset some people, but apparently if she now says something that she doesn’t believe the upset people will be happy again.

Good for her for not compromising her beliefs to validate someone whose own self belief is so fragile, and whose need for affirmation so strong, that they are happy to accept coerced lies rather than accept reality.

I am happy to say it “Victoria, you are not a woman, you have never been a woman, you are a man. Not being a woman doesn’t make you any less of a human being, and how you live your life is your own business, but I am not prepared to lie to bolster your fallacy.”

From what I’ve seen in film and telly, Vancouver & BC look highly picturesque. I think I’d be wondering around going, ‘ooh, that building is from that episode of Stargate’, or ‘That’s the park that was in {insert umpteen names of various telly shows}’. 😬😂
