I posted a link to the audio higher up the thread, maybe page 3? It cuts in halfway through the discussion but you can hear for yourself what she actually said.
She doesn’t seem to be comparing trans teens to poop - what she’s saying is that there’s no point in academic brilliance if the child is damaged by gender ideology and chemically castrated during their teen years. It’s this which is the poop, not the child. At no point did she compare a child to poop. She’s saying chemical castration and gender ideology is ruining teens - this is the poop in the classroom.
To address previous comments that I’ve only just seen…
I’m not defending this woman and I’m not suggesting it was the best analogy to use. It was clumsy. However I can’t see that she said what has been reported - it’s a typical bad faith exaggeration.
I’m not defending her or her politics. However, I think it’s important to acknowledge the truth and not rely on biased reporting - and I would say that even if we were talking about someone with the opposite views to me. I feel very frustrated with the constant bending of the truth to score points and I’m not interested in blind tribal thinking. Honesty and accuracy matters, and everyone on all sides of a debate deserves that.
