From the number of people I have seen recently who have posted that they have PhDs (and it does seem to be a few) in this topic who cannot give any evidence to support their assertions at all (tells everyone to google), and who also cannot give any clear answers. They always give circular definitions, always ideological affirmation and it is stark.
These activists then tend to resort to namecalling and even abuse towards anyone who presses them to support their views. They simply expect to be taken as an authority on the topic because they posted. Because they regularly tell us that they have their qualification as if that is their shield.
I figure that if someone who has such qualifications cannot support their statements, what chance is there for those extreme transgender activists who don't have the depth of knowledge and the language that come with it? I think it is a mixed bag. I think there are some extreme transgender activists who understand that the mantras are in effect lies.
But I also think that there are people who genuinely believe what they are saying as being reflective of material reality. They think that the hyperbolic opinions they post are based in a balanced analysis of events and beliefs. It is bizarre behaviour. Surely, people re-evaluate their opinions and beliefs whenever new information becomes available? Or are some people too entrenched to be able to?
