You do wonder if journalists ever stop and think: "Harold Evans exposed the Thalidomide scandal in the Sunday Times. Woodward and Bernstein uncovered Watergate. I just wrote a whole story about someone not tweeting for three weeks."
Julie Bindel did a very funny tweet:
'Not sure what's keeping jk rowling from tweeting, but just received a postcard from her, with a photo of a beach, and the message, "Weather is here, wish you were beautiful," which is a bit rude of her, even if she is on the vodka-infused candy floss at 9am.'
Amusingly, some people seem to have taken this literally, rather than realising that Bindel was just having a bit of fun.
