Horrific story about death due to surgical complications, was reading it and poof. Anyone know what happened. This is such important information to get out there.

That has changed then. It originally said we have taken this down as looking behind the scenes

Yes, MN confirmed on your Site Stuff thread that they would change the deletion message but wouldn't reinstate the thread because it was started by a PBP. They're happy for a new thread to be started as long as it stays within normal guidelines. I suppose this is now that thread.

RoyalCorgi · 19/08/2024 11:19

The previous thread led me to look up the Kiwi Farms discussion about this case - be warned, it's pretty brutal.

What an enormously sad case. I wondered if it was deleted for naming the surgeon? Or perhaps for speculating on the cause of death which, as far as I'm aware, hasn't been announced?

The only small mercy is that phalloplasty is a very rare procedure, probably because of the high complication rate.

FizzingAda · 19/08/2024 11:20

The original, post, and this one, refers to 'fruit farms'. Never heard of this before, can some one tell me what it is, or means, please? TIA.

SummerSplashing · 19/08/2024 11:22

Just because a poster was 'previously banned' doesn't mean they're a troll or whatever.

its MN's right to ban anyone they want to, but holding a view on something they don't agree with doesn't make you a bad person. On this board in particular, strong views are held that MN might not like, it doesn't make that view wrong.

It's a horrific story. There's a lot about it on Twitter. I was astonished to find out this surgery is going to be offered on the NHS at this clinic https://gendersurgery.chelwest.nhs.uk I don't know if it is already offered elsewhere on the NHS. I'm gobsmacked that anyone thinks this is a good idea.

More about the Chelsea and Westminster service in this FOI

Also two private providers doing smaller numbers.

C&W will eventually be doing up to 280 procedures a year. Remember there are a lot of young women deep in the cult and the system who will be moving forward with this.

It's disgraceful - the NHS should not be supporting this in any way.

There is also more in the C&W website but you have to search carefully to find it, I can't remember how I did it but it does t come up in an initial search. I think look for Gender services or something.

AlisonDonut · 19/08/2024 11:25

Previously banned for awareness of mutilation of vulnerable people maybe?

unwashedanddazed · 19/08/2024 11:26

What angers me even more is that this person was a prolific poster on reddit, particularly the phallo sub, but they haven't mentioned it there at all (as of last night). Death doesn't fit the narrative unless they can blame terfs for someone getting attacked then they never fucking shut up about it.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 19/08/2024 11:32

I know some posters who have been banned were clearly not troublemakers but extremely passionate and vehement about this subject. MN has stated in the past that they won't tolerate having their staff abused or insulted. We all know that in the heat of the moment unfortunate things can be said, and I suspect that's partly why MN ended up banning a few individuals. We all also know that the report button has often been abused. I don't know if it's changed but it used to be that anybody could report a post, even if they weren't a registered user.

Having said all of that, I'm willing to cut MN a lot of slack because let's not forget that for years and years and years MN was the only place where gender critical views could be expressed at all to a wide audience. Twitter, Facebook et al would delete and ban at the drop of a hat for anything critical of gender ideology, and would turn a blind eye to some horrific stuff from gender activists. MN has mostly managed to maintain freedom of speech, and I for one am hugely grateful.

FannyCann · 19/08/2024 11:32

With regard to all the complications, obviously (despite reading Exulansic's posts, as op said she has been keeping an eye on this person for some time) but obviously I don't know all the details. However with regards to the repeated UTIs and loss of kidney function I suspect this has been massively mismanaged (as well as the whole thing obviously). I work in radiology and we manage a lot of patients who, for various reasons, (mostly cancer related but not all) are unable to pee the normal way. They have nephrostomy tubes which are drains direct into the pelvis of the kidney and draining externally. Some of our patients are very long term and most are not complicated by repeated infections due tin the quality of the care they receive.
I suspect in the case of this unfortunate young woman the ongoing plan for a phallus they could pee out of standing up overrode more sensible considerations relating to management of the urinary system. Probably never referred to a urologist.

Anyway obviously the whole thing was horrific experimental surgery so there were plenty of other complications that would have contributed to the final outcome.

There is a website called ‘hairyaustralianfriut’farms

It is an extremely ‘robust’ place, where punches aren’t pulled and terms widely found offensive are used. It’s a free speech zone.

They document all sorts of things which get deleted elsewhere.

WarriorN · 19/08/2024 11:36

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 19/08/2024 11:37

People are being very coy/cagey about the fruit farms because it's possibly still banned to link to it directly. It's not even that easy to search for it. Anyway, you need to be looking for 'farms' preceded by the four letter word for the things in the pictures below.

Anywhere else I can read the info?

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 19/08/2024 11:54

In fact, it's so difficult to search I haven't a clue where it is now. Harrumph. Haven't visited the site for years but I'd like to think I'd have the option.

Re where to find the details: if you're on X, this is a comprehensive thread. https://x.com/TTExulansic/status/1824814117548667292

I just happened to see Exulansic talking about this last night on X. Lots of detail about the horrific surgeries they were experimenting with. She has been documenting this person for a long time and seemed deeply affected by what has happened:

x.com/TTExulansic

I found it in my inbox this morning.

RainWithSunnySpells · 19/08/2024 12:28

Anyone who wants to find the farms, it is currently using .st

ciderhouserules · 19/08/2024 12:33

Yes it said in the Obituary (linked by Exulansic) that there was a son.
Presumably not birthed by Griffin - was there a female partner or as it surrogacy does anyone know.
'Griffin' was a TransMan, ie female. 'She' would need a male.

timenowplease · 19/08/2024 12:36

steadywinner · 19/08/2024 09:33

From what I can gather having read the original TikTok posts, there were endless urinary problems. The original operation didn't go well and there were numerous follow up surgeries and infections.

Loads of associated problems including heart attack and stroke. It was a grim read. Only a kid as well, 22 I think.

You will be unsurprised to know that the lack of a urologist involved in the sugical teams during SRS sugery has been raised as an area for concern. Plus the mention of a suprapubic catheter post SRS surgery is not uncommon.

I can remember reading one archived post that was a TIF asking if it was true that urethral lengthening had a failure rate of 100%. Her (potential?) surgeon had said that after X years the failure rate was 100% and of course she wanted to hear that this was untrue.

Phalloplasty on a female is experimental IMO. Different surgeons are trying out different and new techniques on live patients. Beyond the arm or leg skin methods there have been stomach flaps, muscle being moved from the leg, 'split open' phallos that are later closed, urethras constructed from skin from inside the mouth and so on.

With male patients who have been on puberty blockers and cannot have penile inversion, experiments operations using the colon have been performed. A common complication is fistulas with vaginoplasty.

In this world that casual way that necrosis, fistulas, trouble voiding urine and so on are discussed will shock you.

FreedomDogs · 19/08/2024 12:38

Why are people on this thread encouraging others to visit a far right troll site responsible for bullying multiple vulnerable people to suicide and shielding a mass murderer? Apart from how reprehensible it is, are you actually under the laughable impression any information shared on there is going to accurate?

RainWithSunnySpells · 19/08/2024 12:41

Because they archive these horrific things. The archives are the evidence of what has been happening. These are Reddit posts, videos, X/twitter posts etc written in the victims own words that some people would rather see memory holed.

Can you define 'Far Right' please.

ChaChaChooey · 19/08/2024 12:53

It’s heartbreaking. Absolutely none of us want anyone to suffer this way. Loads of us have gender-distressed kids, any of them could be facing similar risks in future and we are powerless to stop them.

All we can do is keep documenting the doctors who are subjecting healthy bodies to unnecessary, experimental medical and surgical interventions.

RainWithSunnySpells · 19/08/2024 12:54

Yes, I do wonder why archiving people's own words is 'far right'?

I would also like to know how archiving something changes it from being 'accurate' to 'inaccurate'?

I would also like to see the evidence regarding the suicide claim and also the evidence that other forums and platforms also have no members/readers/users/people who were topics of conversation that have commited suicide, because why should one forum be held to a higher standard than the others.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 19/08/2024 12:55

In what sense is the website "far right"? Some posters are, yes. But it's not united under any one particular ideology other than that of shitposting and documenting crazy stuff online. This is an example of using the term "far right" to encompass anything objectionable.
