Before this thread is deleted as a TAAT, anyone who wants to read about this tragic and entirely preventable death can go to the friut farm. Look on the 'SRS and GRS sugeons ...' thread page 1403 and start at the bottom of that page.

DialSquare · 19/08/2024 09:47

I've seen various posts from CantDealwithChristmas on here so not a new poster.

I saw the original thread and was just about to post when it went.
Absolutely horrific and very very sad. RIP.

AlisonDonut · 19/08/2024 09:49

All these deaths will be memory holed. The only place they will be recorded is the Farms. The only place any of this will be one day is the Farms.

nauticant · 19/08/2024 09:49

There's loads of posts by CantDealwithChristmas showing a normal posting history going back nearly a year.

I just happened to see Exulansic talking about this last night on X. Lots of detail about the horrific surgeries they were experimenting with. She has been documenting this person for a long time and seemed deeply affected by what has happened:

Answering a question from the previous thread...

Agree. I still don't understand how this is allowed to happen. It wouldn't be acceptable in any other area of health care, would it?

The justification is "40% of transgender people commit suicide". That was invented to justify procedures with this level of risk.

And people want to believe that, if they are aware of the risk - it's the fallacy that "this must be happening for a reason".

Either these must be safe and routine because they're doing it routinely, or if they know they're risky, they must be doing it because it's necessary.

Retiredfromthere · 19/08/2024 09:57

I think the OP's post may mentioned why they thought that Griffin had died.
Which could have been speculation - not read that elsewhere and was reading posts on this last night. So that part may not be official, may be contested. Any which way its very very sad.

Their obit mentions advocacy for LGBTQI+ which they evidently felt strongly about. Sounds a lovely gentle soul. https://www.currentobituary.com/member/obit/286384 RIP.

That's why I found Exulansic so fascinating and upsetting last night. Behind all the coy euphemisms for surgery and casual talk of complications are some horrendous details most people would never consider. And the ethics of these doctors - who were planning to keep experimenting on this trans man by trying to 'correct' the infected graft taken from forearm skin with muscle from their leg and cheek - and selling this endless butchery as a positive solution - is abhorrent beyond words.

This is just so fucking sad. Left behind a child.

If you're on an older version of the app, you can't AS anymore. The feature stopped working for me a few months back.

Really? I didn't see that anywhere.

It's a horrific story. There's a lot about it on Twitter. I was astonished to find out this surgery is going to be offered on the NHS at this clinic https://gendersurgery.chelwest.nhs.uk I don't know if it is already offered elsewhere on the NHS. I'm gobsmacked that anyone thinks this is a good idea.

That's my local hospital trust, I'm surprised to learn this too.

Or a pet. Jury is out on what she was referring to.

rainbowbee · 19/08/2024 10:21

It's so sad. And so alarming that the story appears to be hidden. It happened to pop up on my Twitter. The realities of mutilating somebody who was already mentally unwell and dysphoric are harrowing. People ought to know.

Ah, I was wondering why so far down the obit

OP posts:
GailBlancheViola · 19/08/2024 10:25

It's being hidden and not spoken about by TRA's because it gives the lie to their mantra of living their best life and gender surgery is life enhancing and life saving. They cannot allow anything to expose the horror and falsehood of those statements.

Chersfrozenface · 19/08/2024 10:27

AlisonDonut · 19/08/2024 10:20

Or a pet. Jury is out on what she was referring to.

The obituary linked to above says "His love extended deeply to his family, especially his cherished son and his beloved pet dragon...".

Repeating the possessive pronoun normally denotes separate individuals. But it depends whether the writer is following normal usage.

missmardypants · 19/08/2024 10:28

Thanks for posting this as I missed the original thread.

WarriorN · 19/08/2024 10:29

I saw a Twitter post where Griffin referred to her scaly son. I would expect an actual son to be listed next to her wife, much higher up.

Catsmere · 19/08/2024 11:06

The deletion notice says it was a previously banned poster.

Taytoface · 19/08/2024 11:11

That has changed then. It originally said we have taken this down as looking behind the scenes

Yes it said in the Obituary (linked by Exulansic) that there was a son.
Presumably not birthed by Griffin - was there a female partner or as it surrogacy does anyone know.

FannyCann · 19/08/2024 11:16

Sorry - I didn't mean to refer to the son as "it" - I was more referring to the means by which the son came to this world.
