Taiwan Tries to Silence Fair Play For Women

mb2512cat · 16/08/2024 22:05

Fair Play For Women has been approached by the Taiwan embassy in the UK to remove their posts describing Olympic boxer Lin Yu-ting as ‘male’.

Dear God, they just need to show us the karyotype results with ‘XX’ and this all goes away.

Anyway gotta run. Please feel free to post some solid evidence if you find any,
btw a lawsuit has been filed by Khalif for cyberbullying.

Be careful out there.

as the labs haven’t been disclosed, how do you know this?

Oh, enough of sealioning, please! The labs HAVE been named. They are both fully accredited and accepted by the IOC, for goodness sake.

Ssh with these inconvenient facts. Have we had swyers syndrome yet? That'll be the next one despite the trainer admitting they lowered testosterone which rules out Swyers. Bet that is disputed too, not in a legitimate source or something.

Also one other point the IOC haven't overturned the ban. It doesn't apply to IOC events so they choose to ignore the truth for inclusion.

Why didn't the IOC address all issues raised by DSDs in the aftermath of 2008?

They have been. Sistem Tip Laboratory, Istanbul, and Dr Lal PathLabs, New Delhi.

Why do we keep getting told 'this isn't known' by people trying to indicate the inclusion of DSD males when actually that information very much is in the public domain.

Its almost they don't actually know details because they are ignorant to these and their intent is to silence and be damned with the inconvience of the details.

It won't last five minutes in a court.

SugarandSpiceandAllThingsNaice · 18/08/2024 10:08

Yes the test itself was discredited and overturned by the IOC.
What world are you in that you don’t understand this?

It wasn’t discredited - it was ignored/disregarded because the IOC has beef with the IBA (not unjustifiably). The labs that carried the tests out were not discredited. They are independent of any sporting organisation, including the IBA, and could sue the IOC if the validity and methodology of their testing procedures were maligned in anyway.

To avoid this conflict and the potential for legal challenge (which would bring the lab results themselves into the public domain), the IOC chose to adopt the entire IBA rule book when taking over the regulation of Boxing, every single rule EXCEPT the one relating to the definition/criteria of participants in women’s events - ie. that they must have XX chromosomes. Instead, they decided to take passport gender indicators as the evidence of eligibility - something that no other international body for any other sporting event included in the 2024 Olympics did.

Can we please just start ignoring this poster’s posts now?

spannasaurus · 18/08/2024 11:43

SugarandSpiceandAllThingsNaice · 18/08/2024 10:37

Ok, assuming that the unshared and alleged IBA letter did say the tests were karotyping and the result was “abnormal- male Karotyoe” that is really odd wording as “abnormal- male Kathryn’s” doesn’t mean a normal male with XY chromosomes because that’s not an abnormal result.

So she may have Klinefelter syndrome or Turner syndrome.

An abnormal karotyoe usually means zero competitive advantage as well.

In the absence of this wired news source actually including the alleged letter, I am skeptical. The IOC would not have overruled the disqualification if they were normal XY men.

Edited

Klinefelters is a male dsd.

I can't see David "men can grow cervices (cervixes? Cervixen?)" Lammy doing his job over this one. I also can't imagine it leading to an actual court case - but would definitely do some gardening if it did and would love to see the verdict.

Cervixen 😂perfect

Delphin · 18/08/2024 11:58

@SugarandSpiceandAllThingsNaice
"In addition, shitty labs don’t need an incentive to have shitty tests with bad results. They can just be shitty at their job."

The laboratory in India was this one. Doesn't look like a shitty lab, with ISO 9001 certification.
www.lalpathlabs.com/
"Our labs are NABL (National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories) and CAP (College of American Pathologists) accredited, and we adhere to stringent quality checks. Every test at Dr Lal PathLabs undergoes 50+ quality and process checks, end to end from sample collection to report."

Give up your smear campaign.

Sweet - we’ll point the labs towards you when they start taking libel action.

RedToothBrush · 18/08/2024 11:13

Why didn't the IOC address all issues raised by DSDs in the aftermath of 2008?

Because it means saying no to males and IOC wants inclusion. They state that to exclude males from the female category sports have to provide robust evidence that it's justified. They don't want to exclude males so won't do that research for anything they control.

CautiousLurker · 18/08/2024 12:08

Am I right that Khalif is NOT suing anyone? His representatives have made a request for an investigation to be made into possible cyberbullying. An investigation that, if the French authorities conduct it, may never result in charges being made anyway?

[sorry thread derail, I now realise, as this is supposed to be about the other boxer!]

That's correct they've asked for a criminal investigation no civil action announced as far as I'm aware

Which will go precisely no where in the end, because politics.

duc748 · 18/08/2024 18:24

Seems to me this is increasingly looking like less and less about the two actual fighters, and more about power-politicking into the future by the IOC.

Omlettes · 19/08/2024 05:10

SugarandSpiceandAllThingsNaice · 18/08/2024 10:38

One did, the other appealed. And why are you arguing since the boxers also accepted and welcomed the overall ruling body, the IOC overturning the tests and disqualifications?

And then dropped the appeal.
You are unrelenting, like the Duracell Bunny and you know more than Sports wire, the two boxers who accepted the results, the trainer, boxers who have actually fought them, the lab that did the tests, the body that verified the tests., and the evidence of your own eyes

And you believe the IOC implicity, despite their years of corruption, the huge funding they get and most of all, the reality that all they are relying on is their passports.
Its pretty impressive Dr Watson, you are to be commended.
