New case on crowd justice - Public servant sued for saying sex is binary

OP posts:
Pudmyboy · 11/08/2024 19:16

Who?

PIPpityDoodah · 11/08/2024 19:18

But sex is binary, that's why the people that believe they are in-between call themselves 'non binary'

How can they base one of their genders on something if they don't believe it themselves???

lochmaree · 11/08/2024 19:19

Pudmyboy · 11/08/2024 19:16

Who?

Wasn't sure how much I was allowed to put in the post, assumed if you searched for the text in bold above on CJ it would come up?

OP posts:
HoppityBun · 11/08/2024 19:21

Really? If that’s Lizzie Pitt, her employers caved in. I can’t see another one?

lochmaree · 11/08/2024 19:21

no, someone called Andreas Mueller

I copied the info. from the Crowd Justice page and pasted it without links. I hope MN will restore it once they've had a look. Perhaps the summary will do though?

Summary

A colleague is taking me, my government department, and the Arms-Length Body (ALB) where I work to an Employment Tribunal. I am being sued for expressing gender critical beliefs at work. The claimant is also trying to shut down the gender critical SEEN (Sex Equality and Equity Network) staff network that I co-chair.

Does this all sound familiar?

If you think you’ve heard it before, you have! This is exactly what happened to a colleague of mine (Elspeth Duemmer Wrigley), who works for another ALB of the same government department.

What you probably don’t know is that I was also listed as a Respondent to the same claim. Fortunately, the claim against me was withdrawn and I thought my nightmare was over. Then, less than eight months later, another claim landed on my doormat. Another attempt is being made to sue me for the same gender critical statements I made in the workplace. The nightmare has started all over again.

It's like bloody whack a mole.

Edited to add

The first claimant's case was dropped, as they didn't work in the same department it wouldn't have succeeded. I think that claimant has handed the baton to someone who does work in the same department to carry on the harassment good fight.

I searched and on crowdjustice it says no results for Andreas Mueller. Could you please post a link or is that not allowed?

If you paste the bit in bold from the original post into your search engine, it should take you to the right part of the crowd justice site

Blimey, you must be new round here. Anytime someone needs top class legal help to banish the Trans bollocks (which dont come cheap) rather than appeal directly for funds to a crowd funder in support, the recognised term is "gardening". Why? never been sure myself but suspect it attracts the ire of mumsnet towers.

lochmaree · 11/08/2024 19:38

If you go on CJ and then 'explore' its near the top on the 'equality' tag @HoppityBun

I searched Google for 'Andreas Mueller justice' and found it.

What Icake says about someone handing the baton to someone else is probably spot on IMO.

Do we know the claimants are in this and the Elspeth case? If they have anonymity, do we know why and how?

SEENqueen · 11/08/2024 19:59

I suspect the person who sued the chair of SEEN (thread here: The chair of SEEN is being sued. www.mumsnet.com/Talk/womens_rights/5031904-the-chair-of-seen-is-being-sued?msgid=137439019#137439019 ) is working in concert with the person who is suing this other guy.

It very much looks that way!

Rightsraptor · 11/08/2024 20:03

I can't understand why the system is such a mess.

Andreas says, about the first case brought against him, that the complaint pulled out at the last minute because you have to have the same employer as the respondent and they didn't. I mean, how basic is that? So much time and money had been wasted by that stage. I bet if they even had a law intern just giving the paperwork a once over before it progressed at all, that law student would have spotted that.

If the Post Office can do it for passport applications, it shouldn't be impossible for employment tribunals.

WomanWithoutNeedOfPrefix · 11/08/2024 20:19

So sick of this nonsense. Why aren't the Civil Service and ALB seeing these cases for what they are? - relentless bullying and harassment of those with GC beliefs. To get to this stage I assume that both Elspeth and Andreas will already have been dragged through internal processes that they must have won.

The claimants should be being disciplined under their existing policies if they cannot work with someone who holds a different view to them and instead try to silence GC voices with the threat of disciplinary proceedings.

Donated to both crowdfunders and bumping this thread.

RosaTanks · 11/08/2024 21:07

OMG I assumed the OP must be mixed up when I first saw this - unbelievable.

Have gardened. These complainants are utter bullies.

borntobequiet · 11/08/2024 21:08

As someone said on another thread, this is becoming an expensive hobby. But these SEEN cases must be defended, for all of our sakes.
Will garden when funds are next available.

MrsOvertonsWindow · 11/08/2024 22:31

Unbelievable that civil service employees are able to abuse the system like this? No wonder they attract so much criticism when they allow their personal niche beliefs to take up so much work time. Long overdue for them to be compelled to follow the Nolan Principles of Public Life to the letter if they want to work for state organisations.
Off to garden.
