Yes, why are the press so desperate for the boxers to be female? It has to be because they want to keep in with the IOC. Otherwise it's such a massive scandal, why wouldn't they be all over it?

The whole thing has descended into such an emotive farce. I am baffled by what is going on.

Germany, for example, has just passed Gender Self Id, as has Spain, so depending on the country the media represents there may well have been some influence on the general tone of questioning.

We know that the BBC and The Guardian here in the UK are captured, as they are on the whole Israel/Gaza situation too - so that affects the approach taken by journalists from those organisations.

I just find it interesting that women’s events like artistic gymnastics, beam, sync swimming don’t have any record of DSD or trans women winners or champions, or even participation at world level

Exactly. It’s fine to say it was a chaotic conference, but they could report the actual content where possible surely? I won’t hold my breath though.

This whole saga has left me so angry but also with the very clear and grim realisation of how little these organisations care about women.

I just keep hoping that everyone will wake up to this finally. Everyone can see it, I'm sure of that, but they are just closing their eyes, covering their ears and refusing to tell the truth.

I just don't know what it's going to take, I'm genuinely worried that even if a woman died in the ring it wouldn't make any difference.
