Hulking transgender athletes take gold, silver and bronze spots on female podium at Virginia cycling championship | Daily Mail Online

"The sailing fan from British Columbia has worked as a Mechanical Engineering Technologist and was ranked 22nd in the men's Victoria Cycling League this time in 2023.
Second place went to Jenna Lingwood, 43, who raced as a man until 2017 and is now a member of the Oregon-based women's cyclocross squad Team S&M.
She is a physics graduate of the University of Washington who works in Portland for Intel as a Supply Chain R&D Engineer.

Californian Eva Lin, 28, used to race as Henry Lin for San Jose State University's men's team, but his placings have soared since he switched to its women's team in 2022"

Dirty rotten CHEATS
That is all.

Oh hang on, it never happens though.
I must be dreaming.

For decades many women's sports remained amateur while the equivalent male sports were professional and there were only a handful of women earning a living from sports compared to 1000s of men. Just when far more women's sports turn professional (admittedly often at much lower pay then men) and the profile rocketed the men showed up. Where were all these men with inner lady feels when the FA banned women from professional pitches? Or when media coverage of female sport was pretty much limited to tennis and athletics? It almost like it wasn't worth stealing from women when there was nothing to steal.

I’m a bloke but totally with you all on this. BTW Nikki Hiltz - ‘trans lesbian’ read heterosexual bloke who fancies women! Plus ca change?

frankincenseandoranges · 23/07/2024 21:53

How convenient for them.

EdithStourton · 23/07/2024 21:53

Fucking hell.
Other than mentally chanting 'Cheat cheat cheat cheat cheat' and ranting a bit I have nothing useful to contribute.

Selfish wicked fuckers.

Helleofabore · 23/07/2024 21:57

How ridiculously meaningless Lisa Nandy is on this issue. On one hand she is saying that excluding males is 'broadly sensible' but then is sitting on the fence and declaring the 'balance is right'.These are platitudes being handed out left, right and centre. This is not leadership, this is trying to placate those who subscribe to the 'taking the heat out of the discussion' type platitudes. It is certainly not showing any strength of leadership though.

Nikki Hiltz is a woman - she identify as non-binary but she is female.

LaeralSilverhand · 23/07/2024 22:06

Looking at that photo I’m now wondering whether this was actually an elaborate stunt by these men and their female teammates to point out the absurdity in USA Cycling derogating from UCI rules in domestic competition.

Also identifies as transgender according to DM story.

I'm not up to the logical puzzle of being transgender yet claiming non-binary status.

No difficulty at all with NH competing in women's events. NH's eligibility is not carte blanche for eligibility to other non-binary athletes who may not have been born female.

Farting · 23/07/2024 22:14

Well, they probably voted for it so need to suck it up.

CutthroatDruTheViolent · 23/07/2024 22:20

The fucking comments are so infuriating.

Women, we totally agree with you but as men who hold all the fucking power we're going to do jackshit and just judge you for not speaking up is the overriding message. It's like the world has collectively decided that women have the power the change this, despite women not EVER having the power unless with huge backing. And the backing, unfortunately, is lacking, as no one with any real influence and power will stand up and say no.

Sick of it. So sick of it.

Nikki defines transgender as 'not identifying with your birth gender'. But Nikki belongs in the women's category unless Nikki decides Nikki needs to take testosterone to be neither male nor female. Sex is the important factor for categorising sport not gender, or feeling or really, really, really wanting something

Hepwo · 23/07/2024 22:32

Isn't Nandy claiming to be ending the culture war?

More like running away and hiding from her responsibilities.

And handing sport over to men. Awful woman.

They're gonna be so mad when they find out there's no such thing as a "birth gender".

PermanentTemporary · 23/07/2024 22:43

Putting my rational hat on, as someone who voted to get the Tories out - this isn't in the UK and Nandy can truthfully say that British Cycling along with multiple UK sporting organisations finally sorted their rules a couple of years ago, having found out what having male athletes in women's sport ACTUALLY looked like.

It us v galling that none of them have the guts to say 'the balance is better now because a whole load of sportswomen told us they'd have our hide in public if we didn't get it sorted, on the background of years of work by a small group of women, many being Labour supporters, who are still being treated like outcasts for doing actual feminism. Funny old world, eh?'

I wish the media wouldn't call them 'trans athletes'. They are just cheating men.

Well I guess they've transitioned from competing to cheating.

bringbacktheladiesloos · 23/07/2024 23:04

slow hand clap

Well done for beating a load of people with fewer fast twitch muscles that also have lower contractile velocity than you.

Very well done.

You have basically just beat the equivalent of high school boys.

Sadly not. These men have been cheating away for a while now. Twitter / X user i heart bikes has been documenting these individuals for a while.

Teams With Trans-Identified Male Cyclists Win Top Three Spots At Women's Bike Race In Washington - Reduxx

She's making a fool of herself. It's time to stop hiding behind 'transgender athletes', this is endorsing that women's sports must accept men and tolerate mixed sex sports and all its disadvantages for women because it's nice for men.

She might call saying no to men 'bigoted transphobia'.

I would call her belief that women's sports have a duty to lie down and be a resource for men's self expression bigoted, insane and quite staggeringly sexist.

Edited

Read the article. The Torygraph have misrepresented her. She said its up to sports governing bodies to decide for themselves, which seems fair enough to me.

No idea wtf the US are doing with the track athletes and this. But they can sort their own issues out.

It would be against the rules in the UK

Full admission: I'd heard the term, 'camel toe' but didn't know what it referred to. So off to Wikipedia, which has a helpful photo. And one of, er, a camel's toe. Every day's a school day! 😀

Not sure I'd want to Google that...do you need to clear your browsing history?! 😬🤣

bringbacktheladiesloos · 23/07/2024 23:20

So, how many male athletes have recently become trans and qualified to compete in women's events at the Olympics this year?
