I am sure many women whether feminist or not would welcome a pro-active movement by women to oppose racism and facism.

But this article, as always by what seems to becoming a clique, is just a vehicle to attack other women activists in the UK and USA who have chosen to work in different ways to them.

If, for instance KJK hadn't set up Party of Women and had chosen to attach herself to one of the parties entioned in the article would make sense to raise quesions. But she didn't, she set up an independent party with no allegiances.

WoLF in the US have worked with a range of groups and politicians in pursuit of their primary aims. Why keep harping back to the one occassion they were on the same platform as a group that also had concerns about the impact of trans ideology on children. Is a campaign group being bi-partisan unacceptable?

Wouldn't it be a relief if these two groups would just grow up and stop their endless vendettas and actually do something pro-active?

Think how effective WPUK was in their early days when they just focused on the issue and encourage other women to engage.

They seem to have got bogged down in this circle of virtue and less effective.

Instead of sighing about how wonderful women in France were, why aren't they similarly organising?

As usual its so much easer to blame women, rather than for instance challeging the male left to accept and work and support women who know that sex is a biological reality.

I didn’t say they were fascists. I said it alerted me to a right wing element within the movement of which I had not previously been aware.

It is not rude to expect someone who makes a claim to give supporting evidence or to respond in any meaningful or helpful way. A discussion involves an exchange of views, points and perspectives and a willingness to think and engage critically with any information provided.

It is different from twitter - where people simply try to make pithy or sarcastic remarks in an attempt to get one over on their imagined opponent.

Which movement are you talking about? What was the rally?

How much experience do you have with 'Resister groups, for example, or other women's campaign groups. Those that tend not to have rallies, but who meet at each other's homes, organise and campaign, attend conferences etc Because that is what the GC movement has been about. It is where it started. At the grassroots.

I suggest that many people, especially those who adopt 'progressive' positions and causes, through tribal allegiance, tend latch onto to any event at which they can shout and scream and bang drums about something or other. Like moths to a flame....they seek out what it is they think they oppose.

Critical thinking and an ability to analyse content is required if anyone wants to have a menaningful or fruitful dialogue. Telling people to "shut up" simply doesn't cut it.

Haven't RTFT but I've decided 'right wing' now means 'stop thinking or applying common sense'.

I voted Labour for most of my adult life, I'm still in favour of a living wage for all, better employment protection for the poorest, and renationalising the railways.

But apparently I'm now right wing because I believe in safeguarding for children and not just removing all boundaries and treating them like mini-adults.

So now, when anyone tries to lecture me on being 'right wing' or listening to common sense that happens to come out of the mouth of someone whose political allegiance is on the right, then I view them with suspicion. They are part of the problem.

If you put political allegiance above meaningful discussion with EVERYONE about child safeguarding and women's rights you've lost the plot.
