I didn't even see any mentions of his mum. His dad, who died a homeless alcoholic after abandoning his family when Lammy was twelve, but not his mum who (unless I'm seriously missing something) must have really stepped up.

If Lammy identifies as a feminist does that mean Farage identifies as Gandhi?

Lammy has displayed very poor judgement, and a volatile temper. He's not going to take well to being grilled at weekly PM's questions.

He's not going to impress any foreign leaders or their counterparts, by banging on about being the decendent of slaves, as a reason not to engage with challenging issues.

Piece by Hannah Barnes in the same edition saying "Starmer must expect that JKR is right: Labour is failing women". Andrew Marr, of course, finds this of piffling importance compared to the big grown-up issues that Starmer and his ministers will have to grapple with.

Though, Boris Johnson, love him or loathe him did have some gravitas on the international stage...and was a big supporter of Zelensky...who certainly seemed to rate him.

Not all gay people wanted or agreed with same sex marriage, its not quite the 'I'm a good guy' virtue signal he thinks that is.

And he's now 100% behind a political ideology that doesn't tolerate homosexuality.

I mean there is an honesty in the list of issues he will give a crap about before he even deigns to consider women's rights. Maybe when they are all solved through the world there will be 5 minutes of his precious time before something else crops up and knocks us back down the list again.

The sheer arrogance of a man supposedly walking into a top job affecting millions of lives in a few days time and dismissing 51% with a wave of his hand.
