This is the 2nd thread on that 2021 interview today. Has something specific happened to make it newsworthy?

Apologies - it was sent to me by someone and I made an assumption it was much more recent.

This twitter account seems to be raking up various historic interviews and acting as if they are current. Also on an Angela Rayner thread.

Has David Lammy said since then "I was wrong"?

Has he said "I now understand that transwomen are biologically male and cannot have a cervix'?

And Angela Rayner has reiterated her stance recently, in March this year - "We have biological women and we have trans women. And they’re both women"

I suspect if Labour would have been in government for the past decade we'd be now like Canada or NZ wrt trans issue, even worse if there'd be any LibDem or Greens involvement in government.

As arguments go, I'm not sure that "even the party which is LEAST in thrall to gender ideology erased the word "woman" from information about maternity care, allowed gender identity theory to be taught in schools as though it were fact and put male rapists in women's prisons!" is a strong one, to be honest.

To me that's a strong argument in favour of NOT electing people who are even more mental about this stuff.
