Either I'm totally confused about what's going on here, or CassieMaddox is. The OP states that the candidate 'has been threatened with arrest for the leaflets she distributed on a charge of malicious communications'.

What have her tweets go to do with anything? Has she been arrested or charged with malicious communications regarding tweets she's written?

NoWordForFluffy · 30/06/2024 15:34

Cassie has morphed into everybody's 'favourite' police officer from the CF threads!

BezMills · 30/06/2024 15:59

Well we just don't know for sure!

Edited

Hahaha. The same thought occurred to me.

The police contacted a candidate about a complaint over approved legal election leaflets. Nowt about tweets. Please read the thread before jumping in with your usual authoritarianism.

🤣
Nice bit of Darvo there. "Authoritarianism" my arse. I'm as entitled to an opinion as anyone else.
I just tend not to believe the "it wasn't me,
honest guv" versions from alleged offenders. Too much time dealing with teenagers.

And the repeated tweets and phoning the police, as well as posting frankly crazy videos from a busy city centre location claiming a marked police car parked quite some distance away from you is "there for you" gives the impression to me of a movement deliberately trying to pick a fight with the police. No doubt to justify the "two tier policing" guff that seems to be cause du jour.

CassieMaddox · 30/06/2024 17:33

If you search my old username you'll see I've had plenty of run ins with Felix so I'd really appreciate it if you stopped implying I am him. It's extremely offensive on multiple levels.

I think it is you, sorry. The OP links a tweet by one of party of women's favourite stewards, not a journalist. It is all over Louise's own twitter feed. This is being blown up by PoW for their own reasons and if it turns out in fact there genuinely has been a "malicious communication" and Louise broke the law, then all these threats about "interfering with an election" etc are likely to be extremely unhelpful for those involved.

Anyway clearly we aren't going to agree. I'm not going to apologise for being supportive of public servants though, especially when there is no evidence they've done anything wrong. Far rather have the police force we currently do than the KGB-style militarised police that Reform are proposing.

I'm very much looking forward to this nonsense all being done with on Friday. Although no doubt KJK can provoke some kind of altercation in Bristol on Tuesday for a bit more clicks.

I didn't. Morphed into = turned into, not that you are the original Felix! As you well know.

And offensive? Pull the other one. Nobody is that sensitive, surely?! The words 'offensive' and 'offended' have ceased to have any proper meaning on this board, I can tell you.

NoWordForFluffy · 30/06/2024 17:44

And I have ZERO fucking inclination to search your past usernames. Not least because you're so prolific I'd get 10s of thousands of results to wade through. Life is waaaaaaaaaay too short for that shit.

CassieMaddox · 30/06/2024 17:49

People have repeatedly implied it and it's offensive to me because:

  1. Felix has some very MRA, extreme views that I strongly disagree with
  2. he gets brought up a lot with it bring implied posters not toeing the FWR line are him. Its a shorthand cliquey insult and a very effective way of making a personal attack without saying something offensive that would be deleted
  3. it Implies I'm a troll or a sock puppet.

If you have concerns report me to MNHQ, you've said before that you've been keeping tabs and reporting a lot of my stuff so I assume you are well aware I'm not a troll.

AlisonDonut · 30/06/2024 17:50

If one has an issue with how Posie talks then one can call Posie up on TERF TALK and tell her.

The invite was made a couple of weeks ago, but like all cowardly bullies, the person with the issue will just sit on here endlessly having a pop at someone who cannot respond, knowing she cannot respond, instead of being a big girl and tackling it face on.

As I repeatedly say, I'm not calling her to drive clicks and traffic to her channels. I keep being told she doesn't care anyway 😂

Keep tabs? No. I report your personal attacks on me, which are frequent. If you don't want to be deleted, don't make personal attacks! I don't have the time or inclination to 'keep tabs' on you. That's a very arrogant viewpoint you have there! And a TOTAL misrepresentation of what I've ever said.

By the way: I only started reporting you when you admitted to reporting everybody else, as it made your use of MN better for you. What's good for the goose and all that!

And I've not seen those mentions of him that you're on about, so you're reading WAY too much into my little joke! I don't spend as much time as you on here. Too busy!

CassieMaddox · 30/06/2024 17:57

Also, how is it bullying to have an opinion on a political candidate?
Are posters on here bullying Rayner, Denyer, Nandy etc, when they repeatedly bring up their past performances and things they've done and said over the years?

Dumbo12 · 30/06/2024 17:58

The electorial candidate, for a minority party, was contacted by a police constable, with regard to a claim, possibly by the constable, that an official leaflet for her party, was a malicious communication.
I am frankly astonished that a uniformed police constable was tasked, by his superior officers, to contact the candidate, rather than a more senior officer making the initial contact, given the danger of, at least, being accused of electoral interference.

Yes that's a fair point
It's going to be interesting to see what transpires

Thought the non -authoritarian line was innocent till proven guilty. Also the the entitlement to your opinion is matched by everyone else's entitlement even one of party of women's favourite stewards, not a journalist.

Here's another fun fact about Kelly-Jay Keen aka Posie Parker, founder of the Party of Women whom Louise McDonald is currently a candidate for.

KJK told me she is a kiwifarms user, from a couple of brief emails we exchanged.

Think about that for a moment.

Christinapple · 30/06/2024 18:30

Sloejelly · 30/06/2024 14:43

Absolutely, he has committed a criminal offence therefore is a criminal.

Might be worth being careful exactly what words you choose, just saying.

Yes. Exactly. That applies to the police officers too. Glad you got to the point I was trying to make.

Iam not making a point about "sorry for not toeing the party line". I'm saying if there was a crime and if Louise is penalised for it she may live to regret those tweets when she is sentenced. That’s why I think its unwise.

Or the alleged malicious communication. Or both.
