Tennant is aggressive and lashing out because he's defensive. And he's defensive because of the cognitive dissonance.

Not surprising really, I believe one of his children is queer. It's understandable this would be his stance and in his defence he does always make sure everyone knows he owes a lot of what he has to his wife, which he absolutely does. So it's not as though he's telling her to shut up because she's a woman, it's because he doesn't agree with anything she says.

Well telling her to shut up isn’t the cleverest way of explaining why she’s so wrong is it? I think the response amongst those on the left would be very different if this was Laurence Fox telling Diane Abbot to shut up and that she shouldn’t exist.

I understand wanting to defend your family but frankly if I had a child who was telling me they were not the sex they were born I’d be hugely grateful for politicians like KB who are trying to make sure that Cass is implemented and children receive evidence based treatment and are not put on a path to something irreversible before they’re fully grown.

You've missed the point!

Its the double standard. Media pile on to rightlly criticise a DWM business person, but no evidence of criticising a media darling.

That's what the tweet is saying!!!!!

yep

hopefully thanks to the Cass report their child is safe from physical medical intervention, but he and his wife are messing with their kid's head to be part of a trend.

he'd very much like everyone to shut up about this please and no wonder.

Hepwo · 25/06/2024 19:28

And she was married to Linda Riley, advisor to Keir Starmer and fierce promoter supporter of heterosexual male "lesbians". Maybe they have all that extra gender pay!

"Now, it’s time for full disclosure. Although I seldom speak to Sarah Garrett these days, we were once married and share two children. This is how I know how hard she works and how dedicated she is to fighting bigotry and prejudice wherever she finds it"

They are all hypocrites aren't they?

Kemi Badenoch did criticise what the tory donor said about Dianne Abbott though. She has usually tried very hard to be a "politician" not to be stereotyped as the black spokesperson etc and has criticised identity politics. It would have been really easy for her to keep her head down and stay out of the Abbott business (and she would have had a good excuse) but she didn't. Despite that though she is still being told "you have to suck up what Tennant said because of what a man on your "side" said/did.
I don't even allign with her politically but give the woman a fucking break.

biscuitandcake · 25/06/2024 19:30

Sorry, the give the woman a fucking break wasn't directed at you @IwantToRetire . But the people wbatabouting about the Tory donor.

CorruptedCauldron · 25/06/2024 19:31

He could have made a pro-LGBT+ speech and demonstrated his solidarity and allyship without tearing anyone else down. But no - to prove he’s a goodie, he needs a baddie to publicly condemn. A baddie he can openly wish not to exist. A baddie he can openly wish to shut up until her existence ends.

Women are being silenced left, right and centre by the extremists behind gender ideology. Tennant’s words will have earned him some brownie points from the activists, but wishing to silence those you disagree with is fascist behaviour. It’s also irresponsible to call for a female politician to shut up, particularly in this highly volatile climate where women’s safety is under threat from extreme activists.

In short, Tennant is setting an appalling example to his fans about how they should respond to people they disagree with.

Well I wish he would shut up. Such a shame as I really liked him in Dr Who.

There's going to be a lot of disappointed Dr Who fans now he's exposed himself as a racist bigot, I imagine they'll be meetings at the BBC tomorrow reguarding pulling his episodes from iPlayer.

‘Seldom speaking’ to the coparent of your children?

Seems a bit off, no? I mean, fair enough to go low contact/mediated contact only with an abusive ex but you wouldn’t be giving an abusive ex a public shout out, would you?

Thanks - was just going back through the posts and thought did i post something while having a quick nap?!

Will be interesting to see if other papers are prepared to say anything or it will just be the DM.

I am not in anyway saying Tory men are respectful of women, but there is a real tendency of men on the left to thinkg denigrating women is somehow magnifying their wonderful politis.

It is really noticeable.

But if any Tory male spoke about women in the Labour Party in the same way the male left would be broadcasting their outrage and "solidarity" with women.

You cant trust any of them.

Quite. Although if their pre pubescent child decides he is not 'non binary' after all (because he is a child) he would have had his dad all over the papers parading his private business around. At least he wont be pumped full of hormones. This will come back and bite all these virtue signallers and 'trans allies' on the bum. Most of them will just walk away pretending they didn't patronise and abuse women, but the Tennants have invaded their child's privacy and David has been so desperate to play up to his new crowd he has accidentally shown himself up as a racist and misogynist.

Honestly I don’t think so. As I understand it racism from one of the righteous male left wing allies to a right wing women seems to be totes fine as she deserves it amirite?

That's a very tumbleweed response he gets in that video anyway. A handful of cheers from some zealots.
Further down the line David - was it worth it?
Never liked him anyway, Christopher Ecclestone was a much better and sexier Doctor Who (and spare me anyone coming in here to argue with me about the best Doctor!)

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 25/06/2024 19:57

I wouldn't be so sure the Cass review would prevent a wealthy family willing to travel from accessing puberty blockers for a very young child if they felt so inclined. Helen Joyce was as ever very insightful about this. https://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2023/07/19/helen_joyce_the_parents_of_trans_children_will_not_be_able_to_move_on.html

HELEN JOYCE: Something you may not have thought of is that there are a lot of people who can't move on from this. And that's the people who have transitioned their own children. So those people are going to be like the Japanese soldiers who were on Pacific islands and didn't know the war was over. They've got to fight forever. This is another reason why this is the worst, worst, worst social contagion that we'll ever have experienced.

A lot of people have done what is the worst thing you could do, which is to harm their children irrevocably, because of it. Those people will have to believe that they did the right thing for the rest of their lives, for their own sanity, and for their own self-respect. So they'll still be fighting, and each one of those people destroys entire organizations and entire friendship groups.

Like, I've lost count of the number of times that somebody has said to me of a specific organization that has been turned upside down on this, "Oh, the deputy director has a trans child." Or, oh, the journalist on that paper who does special investigations has a trans child. Or whatever. The entire organization gets paralyzed by that one person. And it may not even be widely known at that organization that they have a trans child. But it will come out, people will have sort of said quietly, and now you can't talk truth in front of that person, and you know you can't, because what you're saying is: "You as a parent have done a truly, like, a human rights abuse level of awful thing to your own child that can not be fixed."

There are specific individuals who are actively against women's rights here and it is not known why they are, but I happen to know through the back channels, that it is because they've transed their child.

So those people will do anything for the entire rest of their lives to destroy me and people like me because people like me are standing in reproach to them. I don't want to be, I'm not talking directly to them, and I don't spend my time b*tching to them.

But the fact is that just simply by saying we will never accept natal males in women's spaces, well it is their son that we're talking about. And they've told their son that he can get himself sterilized and destroy his own basic sexual function and women will accept him as a woman. And if we don't, there's no way back for them and that child.

They've sold their child a bill of goods that they can't deliver on.

And I'm the one that has to be bullied to try to force me to deliver on it.

So those people are going to be the people who will keep this bloody movement going, I'm sorry to say, because they've everything to lose, and it is a fight to the death as far as they are concerned.

Kemi has spoken in depth about the Cass Review - I guess Mr Tennant is also wanting this to disappear. This suggests he is prioritising his ideological beliefs over open discussion of the evidence, which is essential for anyone who genuinely has the best interests of gender diverse children & young people at hear

He has a a reason for shutting his eyes and blocking his ears to pretend that neither Hilary Cass nor Kemi Badenoch exist.

Their views might cast a shadow of doubt over whatever process it was that saw his ten year old son go through some sort of “identification” assignation system to emerge as non-binary on the other side.

This is fairly widely publicised rather than private knowledge. “Hello” magazine shows the little boy dressed up in rainbow gear with siblings to go to their primary school’s Pride celebration.

One fan shared: "I know y’all have a non-binary kiddo, but it still means a lot that y’all are so vocal in your support of the community; y’all could just be private about your support. It’s tough being queer and seeing y’all be so out there with your support makes me feel a little better. Also, David not giving af about how masculine he’s acting or looking has helped with 20 years of not feeling masculine enough, which is miserable for a trans guy."

David Tenant and his wife seem to have a symbiotic relationship with their rainbow fans and well-wishers. It would be difficult for them or their son to step back. I think Helen Joyce wrote about this. So the answer for DT is Kemi Badenoch’s disappearance instead.

Here is a shot of him in a Tee shirt saying Hands Off Trans Kids.

I would like one saying
Take Your Trans Off Kids.

Sorry if this has been mentioned before, but KB isn’t even in government any more. It’s like he wrote the speech before the GE was called and wasn’t smart enough to write a new one.

MaryMaryVeryContrary · 25/06/2024 20:04

People on the left only ‘like’ women and POC when we agree with them and allow them to ‘lead’ and ‘represent’ us. It’s egoism, nothing more and nothing less. They don’t really care, they just want a big crowd to cheer them on because they have a Messiah complex.

Absolutely. Thank you for posting this. It is such an important factor to remember, especially say in something like the School Guidance Consultation when parents with gender questioning children are consulted.

My point was the accusation of racism against Tennant seems unfounded to me, it is the role and idealogy that he dislikes, not her race. I can't understand why the term has been used towards him. Is everyone who criticises a black person guilty of racism or can they just be guilty of having differing views? I hold no truck with DT and his views, but to say he is racist undermines the reality of the issue.

Kemi's 'blackness' and her lack of conformity with progressive leftist expectations of 'blackness' serve to heighten the antipathy towards her in my view. It is not out and out racism, but some of the roots of that antipathy do lie in the fact that she is race non conforming acording to articles of faith on the Left. Tribal leftists seriously don't like their identified victim classes to step outside of their assigned lane; plus, of course, she is a powerful speaker and orator in defence of what she believes.
