Did she condemn them? Where?

She did condemn them at the time on twitter, I'm no longer on it so can't link. But a quick Google throws up this article (paywalled but relevant sentence is visible at the top)

https://www.theaustralian.com.au/nation/violence-erupts-at-antitransgender-rally/news-story/87e06cdf34e9551c2d869849fd41d550

"A British activist who led an anti-transgender reform rally alongside a Victorian Liberal MP says the neo-Nazis who ambushed their event are “sad, pathetic men” and she has no links to the far right..."

An apology is due I think @CassieMaddox

‘I’m no Nazi but I’m public enemy No. 1’: Kellie-Jay Keen

Kellie-Jay Keen has denied links with ‘sad, pathetic’ neo-Nazis, defended ‘courageous’ Victorian MP Moira Deeming and blamed police and trans activists for ugly scenes at her rallies.

Yeah whatever. I'll apologise to her when she apologises to Rosie Duffield.

DrSpartacular · 14/06/2024 23:40

Why should she apologise to Rosie? Has she been spreading lies about her?

Kellie-Jay Keen and Angela Jones are passionate women's rights activists with long histories of advocacy in Australia and internationally. I agree with them that genuine community concerns regarding women's safety and access to single-sex spaces, services and sport warrant meaningful public discussion.
I strongly believe in the inherent dignity and worth of all people, as expressed in the Liberal Party's We Believe statement and Platform. A Liberal Party I lead will never tolerate hateful and divisive rhetoric, nor abide by Neo-Nazism, white supremacy or other extremist ideologies.
I also believe that all public figures have a responsibility to denounce such extremism in all its forms. I do not believe that it is appropriate to knowingly associate or share platforms with individuals who hold or express these extremist views. I also believe that there is no room to be blithe or cavalier in the face of Neo-Nazism.
I have never believed or intended to assert that Kellie-Jay Keen and Angela Jones are Neo-Nazis. It is also now clear from public statements made by Ms Keen and Ms Jones that they share my belief that Nazism is odious and contemptible.
People engaged in robust public debate do not always have the ability to express themselves perfectly. This is one reason that we should give those we may disagree with some benefit of the doubt.
I recognise that there have been times when my comments could have more clearly differentiated between the organisers of the 18 March 2023 Let Women Speak Rally and the Neo-Nazis who attended the steps of Parliament House on that day.
It has never been my intention to convey that I believed Ms Keen and Ms Jones to be Neo-Nazis, or that they were members of Neo-Nazi groups. As far as my comments may have been misunderstood as conveying that I believed this to be the case, I apologise for any hurt, distress or harm that has occurred.
I also implore all participants in public debate, including online, to behave with respect and decency towards others. I condemn the use of threats, intimidation and abusive language, particularly misogynistic, vile and explicit language that has no place in our society.
I reiterate my condemnation of the Neo-Nazis who attended the steps of Parliament House on 18 March 2023. There is a place for meaningful and sincere public discussion of women's safety and women's rights, but there is no place for Neo-Nazis in Victoria or the Victorian Liberal Party.."

No. Women are responsible for what they do.
She did not say that neo Nazis weren't welcome at her event after they attended. Thus increasing the risk of them attending future events. Thus potentially raising insurance premiums. Therefore I was hypothesising this was a consequence of her own "all welcome" policy.
Stop infantilising her. Actions have consequences for all humans.

By your standards every person attending LWS events to protest them is responsible for the violent tra contingent, such as Jack Hudner who smashed an elderly woman's face in Auckland. No one told him not to attend or criticised his actions so that will increase the risk of violent MRAs attending future events.
Actions have consequences for all humans.

What?? No.
She organises and runs the events. Therefore she is responsible for ensuring safety, complying with rules etc.
By making it clear she welcomes everyone including violent misogynistic far right thugs she is increasing the risk of violent disorder at her events and therefore increasing her insurance risk.

Because neo Nazis always do what they are told, I’m sure if they were told they aren’t welcome, they would simply stay away. That should work fine.

I'm not saying she is a neo nazi, so pesutto statement that you've voided doesn't apply.
I'm saying she's an insurance risk because she tolerates neo nazis at her events and doesn't condemn them.

During the broadcast, Keen repeatedly claimed that a group of men who gave Nazi salutes, chanted “white power”, shouted slurs at the LGBTQIA+ protesters, and included public neo-Nazi figures might not have been neo-Nazis. “All of this doesn’t make any sense, it feels really off. I mean, look in the UK. We had police impregnating animal rights campaigners. And we had those police infiltrating those groups. I don’t think it’s beyond the wits of anyone to think that either that was TRAs [trans rights activists] dressed up, or police, or, something was just off,” she said.

Anti-trans rally speakers are falsely claiming neo-Nazi supporters were undercover police, trans activists

Anti-trans activist Kellie-Jay Keen sipped champagne as she told an online broadcast that the neo-Nazis' presence 'felt really off'.

Well, there are a lot of lies being told about KJK, so I assumed it was the thing.

About her keeping undesirables out of her events; they're open to all and it's down the the Police to prevent Nazis parading. It's specious to claim that she should have kicked them out.

Your TEZ darlings were far more numerous, but you seem to unbothered about them, when they were the actual perpetrators of violence.

It's like me blaming you for not stopping a mugging close by to you.

AccidentallyWesAnderson · 15/06/2024 11:08

She doesn't, she has. This has been evidenced to you. What was mildly entertaining is now becoming so boring Cassie.

I have no idea what a "TEZ darling" is.

Actuaries don't actually give a shit about the whys and wherefores of how a risk arises. They just price it in. Hence me saying she reaps what she sows. She runs the event, if she makes it an attractive place for violent disorder she pays the costs of that.

I don't think you've "evidenced" what you say you have. But I agree, the ostriching and denial is getting very boring.

Amazing that these people use the word 'inclusive' when they are the exact opposite.

This is interesting too, while not directly linked to KJK it is a further example of far right being intertwined with GC activism.

As you know, it wasn't an "ant-trans" rally, rather, a pro-women speaking event.

No she's not. She acknowledges what Rosie has been through but points out because Rosie is a Labour candidate a vote for Rosie is still a vote for the Labour leadership and manifesto. Which is true.

Some women will feel it's better to have a government with Rosie in it and vote Labour due to that. Others will not want to appear to endorse the manifesto regardless of who is the candidate.

This is a consequence of her failing to condemn the neo-Nazis who attended her event in Aus.

Pretty sure she did.

You’re correct; I’ve seen her condemn Nazis in media interviews, her own videos, and in a recent article she wrote for a newspaper (think it was The Spectator but I’m sure someone else here will definitely remember).

She is ova she did that obnoxious tweet recently then went off on one in the video. I suspect she sees RD as a "socfem".

Seems odd to suggest voters don't for for a gender critical voice but there you go.
