And she also uses those royalties to fund other charities too. Although, usually I prefer to donate directly to the charity, but every little helps.

Who knows, she may set up more Beira’s Places with the royalties. Not only am I quite comfortable paying for product that pays the creator of something so popular the royalties they deserve, even when they are wealthy. I am doubly so when it is JK Rowling.

You know those sites that sell Lord of the Manor titles (which are genuine)? A woman can buy a Lord title - I know that, because I enquired.

I doubt anyone thinks that she could do with a few quid to help with her weekly shop but we do like to signal to companies that women's rights are important. As JKR is someone who is very vocal about women's rights, buying stuff linked to her tells companies to keep collaborations going. If everyone stopped buying anything JKR related then the companies could take the view that women's rights are not something to support.

Supporting JKR is something that we can do to show that women matter. We're not menstruators or cervix havers, we are women. TRAs wouldn't be happy if we called transwomen penis people but are happy to refer to women by their body parts to dehumanise us.

So go ahead and buy all her stuff, noone cares
