Going to have to doubt that German fluency, too, given she seems to use Bildungsroman with the sense of it referring to her own development. I mean, she does have an astonishing case of main character syndrome so there’s a certain amount of logic there, but the utter grandiloquence of her prose grates dreadfully:
Also to clarify: I started using Moleskines in 2003-ish when Leuchtturm didn't exist in modern form! They produced notebooks starting in 2005, then I bought one in Dussmann when they were mostly still in Germany only ca 2009. Moleskines were my sentimental Bildungsroman notebook.

Seems like she was either using Moleskines to document her very own development as the main character in the story of her life or she just thought the word “Bildungsroman” sounded impressive.

Saw the HP moleskines at Liverpool Street this morning so sales are going ahead despite the rantings.

Any updates on the distress caused? Possibly weeping into a Leuchturm.
