You can apply that statement to all the parties.
I get you hate Labour, but calling people "liars" for an innocuous statement is a bit extreme.

So no answer again?

I’m not surprised but if you can’t answer then it’s clear why.

The two lines below cannot both be true.

You either let men in or you don’t. And someone will be ‘respected’ and the other not.

As a starter question - Are women ‘respected’ in changing rooms or men with a GRC?

I think Labour are misogynist liars too.

Every time Adam tries to convince me otherwise, I am more and more convinced I can't vote for the lying liars who lie.

Ikr it’s gaslighting on all these threads

I'm with you wholeheartedly on that one!

Starmer as a barrister will do his homework and have answers to her debating points in a way other opponents wouldn't.

Pulled this from a comment further upthread but this did make me laugh.

Starmer has spectacularly failed to anticipate basic Qs he's been unable to answer & still thinks he can avoid falling off the fence he's been straddling, as long as he can avoid being in the same place as 'difficult' women, like Rosie Duffield. He can even go as far as to launch an election campaign in Kent & to make sure he's not photographed with Duffield, not invite his only Kent sitting MP.

He's been spectacularly dishonest about his handling of Duffield's situation & done feck all to reign in the misogynistic wankers he surrounds himself with.

He can't so much as fart without having focus group approval.

My current MP is a useless twat with only a 5% marginal vote over Labour. I'd consider voting Labour just to get rid of her. But Starmer's spineless inability to be honest or even speak with women about legitimate issues & concerns over gender bollocks is stopping me. I'll probably spoil my ballot but my vote would be there if he wasn't such a terrible politician who has zero leadership instincts & outsources his thinking to focus groups.

The idea that, as a barrister, he'd suddenly develop the skills he's failed to demonstrate since he became leader, and trounce KJK in a debate is laughable. He cannot communicate in the plain factual manner KJK speaks in & she wouldn't have to do much to make him^^ look like the squirming dimwit he becomes whenever he's faced with Qs on his position on gender bollox.

He's clearly going to have a better chance of becoming the next PM but I think he's going to be no better than the current & recent disastrous Tory leadership.

Lol at getting my post about Keirs mathematical estimate of the number of women with penises (35000 by his count) reported

WTAF?

There are certain people on this board who love to report anything and everything.

Sometimes, it's fun to play the same game in return (one such person actively encouraged it the other week, so I decided to oblige. Cathartic)!

If I report a post, I say so, and why. That's how I roll.

Poor old labour, needing white knighted on mumsnet because someone reports what downhill Skier actually said

I think it is totally disgusting that posters think they have the right to comment on a legal case bought by a survivor of rape as though what is more important is their views on it as a "campaign".

Stop with your attempt at censorship by emotional blackmail. Women are free to comment on anything they think it important to them. We’ve had enough of #nodebate.

I have every right to comment.

And I repeat someone who wants to exploit the suffering of a rape victim to score political poinst isn't actually feminist.

So your cheap jibe about no debate is ludicrously inappropriate.

It's Sarah's court case because of the trauma she suffered.

If anyone is genuinely interested in fighting for women's sex based rights they wouldn't be thinking hijacking one one's personal trauma.

Either you have a good case, which doesn't mean loathsome exploitation of an individual, or you dont.

Every time Adam tries to convince me otherwise, I am more and more convinced I can't vote for the lying liars who lie.

This has made me start to think that in fact Adam is a double agent rather than chief cheer leader for KS..

The crushingly useless arguements about how wonderful Labour is, and women have nothing to fear are so blatantly untrue, that the reaction is to reject Labour.

So every time we think a thread has got bogged down / derailed into Labour propoganda, in fact it is to hammer home how useless Labour is as coming over as genuine about anything, let alone women's rights.

(Has anyone noticed how as KS has tried to become more "statesmanlike" his styling team now send him our looking like a mummified store front mannequin. He's got so much hair product you could probably wall paper your front room with the gel! Grin ]

Getting hundreds of appeals from Labour in email inbox. I reply to every one, but have no idea if anyone reads them. Anyone here know?

God knows! But I'm getting really sick of the multiple begging emails every day!

BezMills · 25/05/2024 20:14

My local candidate is a great guy and I hope he wins.

On the other hand I think Long Walk Off A Short Pier is a gutless liability and I am concerned he is damaging the movement. Oh well, what a pity, never mind.

anyolddinosaur · 25/05/2024 20:15

My my adam really doesnt like being told he's inconsistent. We have to ignore anything we dont like about Labour but cant apply the same principle to KJK.

TheRozzers · 25/05/2024 20:20

Well said @IwantToRetire

Sarah may well live in the Kemp Town constituency. It's important to know if she has potential support from her MP. Especially if it's someone parachuting in.

You think she has support from TRA LRM? Not a chance!

MyOleMan · 25/05/2024 20:40

I think kjk chickened out of going up against Keir Starmer and instead went for Lloyd Russell Mole because she loves controversy. KJK isn't interested in actually finding any solutions, she's just looking for click bait, as per usual. Sh'es built an entire career on this now. She's goiong the way of Katie Hopkins, getting wilder and wilder, and more and more full of herself

I don't. You get loads more indies etc in the leaders' seats, probably especially in London. She'd have had her airtime diluted, and little chance to actually get her point of view across in challenging Keir. This is a much better opportunity, not least because LRM will be furious about it!

But she’s not really going to get airtime with KS on reality is she?

See pp on this

What airtime? George Galloway stood in a by election when there were no other elections taking place. He's much more widely known than KJK, but we didn't see that much of even him. Certainly no broadcasts of him debating other candidates. I'm sure she'll get lots of coverage in the constituency but unless there are lots more candidates for her party UK-wide, I can't see much more nationally.

TheRozzers · 25/05/2024 21:07

I wonder which women in the constituency KJK will be standing for.

We've established it's definitely not the Brighton Soc fems or the rape victim who is bringing the legal case.

KJK isn't standing for women who believe trans people deserve protection from discrimination and equal employment rights.

Who exactly does that leave?

She is standing for all the women in her constituency; those part of Brighton soc female, those who are currently trans allies, for rape victims, for mothers who see their children taught dangerous ideologies in school, for those ignorant of gender ideology, for those who scurry out of toilets when men walk in, for the older women needing female carers, for the devout Muslims and those who identify as nonbinary. KJK is standing for all women whether they agree with her or not.
