Haha, it's a classic!

Interesting! I almost live in that constituency but I’m over in Pavilion by about two roads. Sounds like the Kemptown hustings will be fun, I’ll try and go.

As for Pavilion I don’t supposed anyone knows the Labour candidate’s stance on all this? He’s desperately hoping not to be asked, I’d guess.

Great news, thanks for posting. I’ve joined and donated.

Tom Grey is secretly supportive apparently. I'm trying to get it in writing.

Thank Goddess we don't have Eddie Izzard.

Indeed! When Izzard lost the selection a local mums whatsapp group I’m in was full of comments about what a shame it was and how “she would have been brilliant”. I had to sit on my hands to avoid saying something that would have got me kicked out.

This should be a good thought experiment for the TRAs and ‘right side of history’ people. If they are unhappy about the possibility of being represented by KJK it might give them pause to consider how sex realist/gender critical women and men feel about being represented by LRM, that more moderate MPs are needed. Hollow laugh. Of course that’s not going to happen.

I look forward to seeing these two debate one another.

MultiPolarista · 24/05/2024 07:13

Iv just donated £50. I wish it could be more but times are hard. If everyone donates what they can it will really help the campaign.

MultiPolarista · 24/05/2024 07:14

I have relatives in Brighton, Im going to heavily lean on them to stand up for women on election day.

Datun · 24/05/2024 07:21

Damn, that woman has balls.

Userxyd · 24/05/2024 07:42

I'm joining POW 💥 She's putting herself out there for all our benefits - the least we can do is support her✊

Boiledbeetle · 24/05/2024 07:52

I just can't help but think of what he did in Parliament that day whenever I hear him and see him.

Everything about this man makes my flesh crawl. Just hearing his voice makes me want to scrub myself raw in a scalding hot shower just to wash the mere thought of him off me.

He is one of the most misinformed, obnoxious, cretinous, unenlightened, imbecilic, nescient wankers out there.

I don't know how she is going to bear being in the same room as him.

NoWordForFluffy · 24/05/2024 07:55

She's going to wipe the floor with him in debate. There is no way he can hold his own with her without losing his rag. I admire her immensely for putting herself in his firing line, as most women would deliberately avoid such odious men.

Interested to see if she will support Sarah's campaign to secure single sex rape crisis therapy for women in Brighton, despite any distain for the Brighton soc fems.

Has she ever given any indication that she doesn’t support the case?

I haven’t seen any indication of this, but I may have missed it. If she remains on form, she will be in full support and wouldn’t be petty enough to withdraw support despite the group in Brighton determined to portray her in the worst possible way.

Her main priority is to deliver single sex services and always has been. Why would she harm a case to pettily get retribution over a group of women who demonise her?

TheRozzers · 24/05/2024 08:45

Yes @Helleofabore she's been critical of Sarah's case

Yes @Helleofabore she's been critical of Sarah's case

My understanding is that she was critical of referring to a transwoman as 'she', not the case itself. Have you got a link to her criticising the actual case?

Sloejelly · 24/05/2024 09:26

TheRozzers · 24/05/2024 08:45

Yes @Helleofabore she's been critical of Sarah's case

What was her criticism? I suspect she felt there were compromises that should not be made, which is something you can do when you are not the one bringing the case. I think she is right to criticise those compromises. There is a problem when some of those compromises get accepted into case law.

But Sarah’s case ultimately has to be about Sarah and started when we were in a different place in this debate (before women, including KJK, dragged it forward). She couldn’t demand that the whole service becomes women only because she doesn’t need the whole service.

Ok. Can you please direct us to where she has said she does not support the case? I have done a quick look but cannot see anything. But I may not be using the right search parameters.

TheRozzers · 24/05/2024 10:08

Found this thread that mentions Grave concerns and calls Sarah's campaign wishy washy.

It doesn't look like supporting the rape crisis case will be her priority in Brighton.

Yes, it'll be good if she's able to induce a meltdown, but I'm sure his handlers will have told him to keep his cool.

Floisme · 24/05/2024 10:34

I don't doubt that LRM will provide good entertainment but I wish she'd picked Starmer. There may have been sound reasons for the decision but Starmer is the leader and the one who enables the idiots and the idiocy.

If she unseats KS the others are even worse!
