Is there a problem if posters approach a ‘KJK is standing for parliament’ post with anything less than unalloyed praise?

Apparently.

NefertitiV · 27/05/2024 12:30

@NoWordForFluffy

It says it broke talk guidelines. That's a third party reporting it. If you ask for deletion, it says that it's deleted at the poster's request.

And?

Oh, you think one of us did it to make it look like somebody else had? Really?

Edited for garbled nature!

Apparently.

Well I don’t get. Personally I think that she’s done some great campaigning. She’s been effective in some areas. I think recent comments were ill-judged and I don’t agree with her on allowing discrimination. (Save me ‘she didn’t mean that’. There were pages of posters agreeing with her & saying they personally would discriminate)

I also think that some posters may be overstating the importance of standing in this seat. If PoW get the 500+ candidates that the Worker’s Party and Reform have, then that may be a different matter. (And Tatton was entirely different).

Meant to add. Surely all that is up for discussion

And yet here you all are, talking without unalloyed praise and all those posts are still standing.

How comes?

She's explained this herself. She just wants to sit opposite him / join in hustings with him as she knows her mere presence will wind him up. No more, no less!

500 candidates for a months-old political party is rather ambitious. Maybe next time!

Well, I know it wasn't me, and I can see you're all having a great deal of fun with it, so it's a good possibility.

RufustheFactualReindeer · 27/05/2024 12:42

I am not a great fan of watching videos - I much prefer reading text same, i don’t think i have ever watched a KJK video 🤔

Oh come on. It's obvious that it's a usual suspect for getting posts deleted!

I think it's naive to think it's anything other than a standard MO of certain posters.

That's correct: she's a political candidate. She should be able to stand scrutiny, just the same as any other candidate. Otherwise, it's just empty idolatry.

Bearing in mind we're constantly told by Labour voters that we're wrong about Labour, how is anybody saying that some detractors are wrong about KJK any different?

Neither 'side' believes the other, so it's a bit honours even, isn't it?

If I say, it'll get deleted! 🤔

NoWordForFluffy · 27/05/2024 12:52

And anyway, there are a number of people (some of whom potentially don't post) who monitor these boards to report posts as they see fit. That's common knowledge.

Sure. But the other side don't imply that not only you're wrong about Labour, you should go just away. Debate is healthy.

"Common knowledge", ie. conspiracy theory?

NoWordForFluffy · 27/05/2024 12:58

Well, actually, we are criticised for mentioning it / starting threads about it. And we're called Tory bots / staff members.

If you're trying to say that no shade comes from Labour supporters, you're very wrong.

NoWordForFluffy · 27/05/2024 12:59

NefertitiV · 27/05/2024 12:57

No. But you're just trying to pick an argument now.

If you knew anything about the history on here, you'd know all about targeted deletions with the aim of achieving bans. Which were successful in some cases. Are you trying to say it didn't / doesn't happen?

Do you think people are either pro-Labour or pro-KJK? Because that really isn’t the case.

BackToLurk · 27/05/2024 13:04

Do you think people are either pro-Labour or pro-KJK? Because that really isn’t the case.

No. But there will be a Venn diagram which is appropriate, I'm sure. And often the most vociferous of Labour supporters on here don't actually like / support KJK.

That isn't the point I was making, however. My point was that criticism goes both ways.

NoWordForFluffy · 27/05/2024 13:12

And, I don't think there are many people who support both Labour and KJK on this particular issue, as it's not exactly possible to do so! Of course, you can support neither as well.

Many of us are frustrated wannabe Labour (ex-)voters, but this issue has led us to not be able to give them our vote now.

Bans don't happen in a vacuum. Are you suggesting MNHQ has been somehow played with their deletions/banning? They may like to know that.

I've been here for about 2 years or so. I may not know all of the ins and outs of the board's history, but MN guidelines are dependable.

Weird how I took your statement that you didn't report at face value, but you're doing everything you can to question what I'm saying about reporting on this board.

That says more about you than me, as the saying goes.
