She lives rent free in some people’s heads.

Proof: this thread. 😂

@MrsOvertonsWindow

A real showcase of the KJK haters proving their useful idiot credentials while being met with the implacable wit and wisdom of FWR women 👏👏

What a lovely way to describe other women - and attempt to stop them speaking. Their opinion is as valid as yours.

Nothing I have said stops anybody speaking - as others have pointed out, threads like this are useful for letting many of us know what KJK is doing.

Pointing out that it's a "useful idiot" approach to try to silence KJK by posting incessantly on Mumsnet to complain about her, is I think a legitimate observation. If you disagree, I'm sure you'll be able to explain why these threads are so useful to your campaign and we can discuss.

WhatWillSwingIt · 27/05/2024 11:39

I wonder about the psychology of it.

I am not a great fan of watching videos - I much prefer reading text, so I need a push to bother, and more often than not, it is the hyperbole and drama that sucks me into watching it. So is it that there are people who just love watching videos generally and spend as much time watching people they love as people they hate?

Or do some people get a kick out of riling themselves up by watching people they hate? Like an addiction?

Or maybe it’s a subgroup bonding thing, of relying on shared hate figure to have something in common and avoid awkward silences?

Campaign? And you said some posters were "proving their useful idiot credentials" by posting about KJK frequently - not to trying to silence her. No one is trying to silence KJK from Mumsnet! Is it so difficult to cope with alternative views?

I'm not sure you've quite got the hang of this arguing/debate online malarkey.

NefertitiV · 27/05/2024 11:43

BTW, I see that post has been deleted. I didn't report it. I find that curious.

Yeah. Its like Katie Hopkins or Nigel Farage.

I particularly liked her homage to Farage on the latest video. Shows exactly what people are voting for. Who wouldn't want more Farage in politics. Confused

There was no homage. She highlighted that you don’t have to get elected to change the discourse, using him as an example. She made no comment on his political position. As you are aware.

Misrepresentation of something watched or read in relation to KJK?! Colour me surprised. 😱😱😱😱😱

Lol I can’t believe someone went to the bother of reporting MrsOvertonsWindow’s post AND that it was deleted as a result.

So It’s OK for her detractors to call anyone who refuses to outright condemn KJK her “Fan Club” but respond by calling them “useful idiots” and that is a step too far. 😂

Yes. Fluffys “petulant and pathetic” post upthread had it about right.

Perhaps I should start keeping score with these attempts to damage credibility, over whose it actually does damage?

(One nil to KJK.)

He was elected. He was an MEP

'useful idiots' is a well known term, rather than a personal attack.

but I'm sure they knew that.

I'm sure she probably meant into our government.

But if you want to correct KJK directly, I'm sure you can (as there's no point correcting her on here, via somebody just reporting what was said - in the context of it having been misrepresented).

Everything which can possibly be vaguely considered as a PA by the most thin-skinned of souls is reported in these threads!

Not to worry. Star96 has a plan…..

The suspense will probably kill me.

If it doesn’t involve cake then im not interested

It's more likely to involve lots of shouting and nonsense scribbled on bits of cardboard.

NoWordForFluffy · 27/05/2024 12:22

Cardboard is no substitute for cake! <shakes head sadly>

BackToLurk · 27/05/2024 12:26

Is there a problem if posters approach a ‘KJK is standing for parliament’ post with anything less than unalloyed praise?

As I said, I didn't report it. So given the context of the previous discussion, and how the discussion is trending now, I do find it suspicious.

It says it broke talk guidelines. That's a third party reporting it. If you ask for deletion, it says that it's deleted at the poster's request.
