I know more about KJK and what she's doing from the people who come on here to slag her off than any other way 😀

I genuinely think they believe all her supporters are actually on this board. And criticising her here will diminish her support.

When the criticism is clearly personally motivated or out of frustration that they can't shut her down, it's going to have the opposite effect. Whether people generally support KJK or not.

It's a measure of the woman's ability to self publicise, that her detractors end up spreading her message 😁

Same. Particularly since I’m not on X nor watch the YouTube clips

It’s funny to see how much work they do for her

I disagree. If you had a workplace where all employees were Sikhs but only one of those insisted on wearing a turban, which led to them getting sacked because of it, it would still be religious discrimination.

It would still be religious discrimination but not because he is a Sikh but because he believes in a form of Sikhism which requires him to wear a turban vs people who do not have this belief (which would include the other Sikhs in his workplace)

Likewise if a woman is in an all woman workplace and gets sacked because she is pregnant, it is still sex discrimination, because she is in a state of femaleness which only females can be, even though other female employees are not currently in this state. So it is her sex which is the root of her discrimination, which the other female employees who are not in that state now, could find falls against them when they change state in this uniquely female, sex-based way.

Really?

wow, i might have to add that to my list of stuff not to say 😀

A sensitive soul deems such comments as a personal attack.

KJK is some woman. She's got people coming on Mumsnet (where she hasn't posted for half a decade) to tell us how she's not going to win because they have a plan. It's like HOW DOES SHE DO THAT?

I think that’s her thing isn’t it. She has an event and says something controversial and the whole world loses its shit, organisations split, politicians and media commit defamation, feminists trip over themselves to distance themselves from her. Even when she was banned from every single social media platform she somehow managed to cause a massive bun fight once a month via her LWS events. I don’t always agree with what she says but it can’t be denied she’s a very effective activist.

Yeah. Its like Katie Hopkins or Nigel Farage.

I particularly liked her homage to Farage on the latest video. Shows exactly what people are voting for. Who wouldn't want more Farage in politics. Confused

Oh dear.

At least it is not the American Christian Right.

The thing about KJK is that she brings out of the woodwork people who want to scold women, particularly articulate interesting women who speak up for women's rights.

Moths to the flame. They can't help themselves.

Not engaging on her social media? They won't be able to stay away.

That’s a major difference between her and Farage or indeed Galloway. They may be controversial, but they are very much more politicians than activists. That’s where their ambition lies.

WhatWillSwingIt · 27/05/2024 10:18

Anyway. My wider point is that

  1. by having so many protected characteristics, some of which are sub-characteristics, it in fact divides the key important ones and lessens their perceived importance by giving the impression that all characteristics should all be given equal weight,
  2. including ‘gender reassignment’ which doesn’t have a clear definition, therefore it is questionable as to whether it is an actual thing, and is arguably covered by other characteristics, which causes confusion and injustice, encroaching on protection from sex discrimination and sexual harassment, the ‘right to not believe’ people can change sex, and the meaning of sexual orientation in law, and
  3. it introduces words like ‘comparators’ which brings a false sense of clarity, as though there is symmetry, where there’s very little - eg- sex discrimination against women is not a mirror image of sex discrimination against men, because men can’t get pregnant and don’t have the assumption that they ‘might’ get pregnant working against them as just one of these things.

I’ll stop talking about the EA now. I fear though, that if this thread doesn’t go the way the KJK detractors want, it will also get pulled.

"latest video". That's exactly what I mean.

You poring over her videos and telling everyone what's in them is doing her job for her.

BezMills · 27/05/2024 10:34

Eh, if the thread gets pulled her We Are Not A Fan Fan Club will start a new one

I never watch any KJK content until it turns up on Mumsnet along with complaints that she’s a blight on the “GC movement”. Her detractors are certainly very effective at getting her message out there.

And nothing makes me want to vote Tory more than them all insisting I am obliged to vote Labour. Maybe that’s the point? Doing a huge reverse on us?

That’s it! What a relief. We can blame the Tories for a massive reverse.

Perhaps Adam is Jacob Rees-Mogg.

You know what, it will make it much more fun to read the posts picturing it being JRM.

Good luck in controlling Mr Spittle-Flecked Raging-Misogynist's temper in your plan.

I'm beginning to form a suspicion that she said trans people should be refused jobs and houses precisely to provoke Loud Rustle-Mole.

BezMills · 27/05/2024 11:12

I keep reading LRM as JRM anyway. Potayto Potahto

Ha! Exactly the same here.

I broadly agree with her on many things but don't feel the need to watch most videos, I only tend to watch if there's some sort of drama going on.

Her detractors are her best source of publicity as far as I'm concerned.

NefertitiV · 27/05/2024 11:25

@MrsOvertonsWindow

A real showcase of the KJK haters proving their useful idiot credentials while being met with the implacable wit and wisdom of FWR women 👏👏

What a lovely way to describe other women - and attempt to stop them speaking. Their opinion is as valid as yours.
