The new thread now has an update from Justine and conversation may shift back to the original topic, so I thought I’d pop in here to say my package has arrived.

Well, that didn’t work very well! Shows fine if you enlarge but….well, you get the idea.

AlisonDonut · 04/05/2024 11:42

Mine is still on transit, onto its third country and taking in the sights on its way by the looks of it.

The gerbil is a noble beast and fully merits its place on responsibly-sourced cotton items. But I remember on another thread seeing images of dinosaurs in wonderful hats and Suffragist colours having tea parties, and I can't help thinking that they would also look ace cool and t'riff on bags and t-shirts. Any entrepreneurial dino fanciers out there?

Boiledbeetle · 04/05/2024 13:04

Oh happy day!
Many Gerbils to you!

Oh, please can you do a black bag with the dinos eating and drinking with the sunburst background? I've still not put in my order.

DeanElderberry · 04/05/2024 14:40

Those dinosaurs are all a bit male-presenting with their suits and top hats if they are meant to representing us and our rights-hoarding ways. Shouldn't they look a bit more female? Simple sweaters and the odd nice scarf?

The magic levitating teacups are good though, and add the same degree of realism as the kiddiwinks' occasional shit-stirring contributions to the gender debate.

These were the more female presenting dinosaurs!

Ok, if possible can we have a diverse range of dino-clothing so that we don't hit a problematic 'gendered' representation thing?! Dinosaurs, cake and cuppas, and that nice sunburst background are more important. Frocks and top-hats/suits are fine and so would be the nifty and stylish old jumper/t-shirt/thermal long-janes since it's still feeling cold/trews/woolly socks combo, with no make-up or jewellery, that I'm wearing right now. 😀

Edited to say: cross-posted, will go back to think again Boiledbeetle.

Boiledbeetle · 04/05/2024 15:01

Then there was the nest of vipers knitting and drinking tea AI attempts!

DeanElderberry · 04/05/2024 15:06

The female presenting dinosaurs are quite relatable I mustard mitt.

DeanElderberry · 04/05/2024 15:10

Likewise the vipers but they make me a bit sad that my car is crocked so I probably won't get to my village hall craft group on Monday. It's exactly like that. Almost exactly, we all have legs so we wear trousers not skirts, but that's just a detail.

I like the pics of the ones wearing the shapeless knitted dino-onesies. A) they look warm and I need warm garments right now. Is there a pattern? If I started knitting now it might be ready for next winter. And B) I was hoping to use the tote as a knitting bag so the theme is very appropriate. Um, however, I did like the look of that first cake!

HabeasCorpus · 04/05/2024 16:45

LOL at the crocheting T-Rex, but the burning question….did they have opposable thumbs? ‘Cos you need those to hold a crochet hook and yarn, you know! It’s just destroyed the whole believability of it for me!

Winnading · 04/05/2024 16:53

I'm gonna be bankrupt, will this store stay open awhile? Giving me several paydays to buy the items I absolutely must have?

TheAutopsyOfMNCorpus · 04/05/2024 20:01

AlisonDonut · 05/05/2024 12:18

I may have to buy some stuff, get it sent to a friend in the UK and pick it up when I'm over there later this year at this rate. A gerbil could have walked here quicker.
