Get that dodgy youth project out of Scottish schools, stop giving them money and have a word with the Scottish Prison Service.

Harvie is really bitter about this.
He and Lorna gave a statment. In that they were asked about cooperating with the SNP on an ad hoc basis. Lorna started to give a political answer, Harvie piped up over her to ask the reporter "You really think the current goverment will still be in place by the next budget?" He couldn't hide his bitterness and venom, he's really pissed off.

Link to video below, couldn't find a better link sorry.
The video is towards the bottom of the story.
The question from the reporter that provokes this venom starts at 5.44

Well that's him fucked isn't it? I bet he loved the power and status. He knows he is now a political nobody and that there is no way back from that.

These people are wicked, wicked as in evil.. 'Social Murder', 'Stop Killing Trans Kids'... what on earth do they think that they are doing, trying to recruit followers of the cult into a new type of cult so that they can turn around and say 'I told you so'? So dangerous.

Wicked is the right word. In the most traditional possible sense. When I read that one of the so-called 'harmless' puberty blockers they've been giving to these kids was buserelin, my jaw dropped.

The stuff is fucking brutal. It was given to me as a down regulation drug when I underwent IVF, meaning that I only took it for relatively short periods. But even in that short window it nearly sent me potty. I had blurred vision (and that scared me senseless; my mother died of a brain tumour). Emotions were all over the place and I was tearful all the time. It also caused quite severe short-term memory loss.

What must this stuff do to your body if you take it for longer periods? A quick Google search provided answers. Joint pain. Vaginal atrophy. Sexual dysfunction. Osteoporosis.

Some parents have tried to do the best they can by their children. They trusted the children's charities and medical professions who lied to them and treated their children as nothing more than experiments. No follow-up research to show what the longer-term effects would be. It's predictable that there will be a mass action taken against GIDS at some point, and the fallout will be enormous. All the while, certain idiotic captured doctors are still posting on X, adamant that they will continue prescribe this dangerous, experimental treatment to children despite a lack of knowledge as to its real longer-term effects.

Mermaids and others claimed such drugs were harmless. That their effects were reversible. IMO, every single organisation that's been peddling this dangerous misinformation should be tried for nothing short of crimes against humanity. More so the fucking doctors who prescribed it. They have broken their Hippocratic Aath. Actually, scrub that. Wicked isn't the right word. What it is, is monstrous.

Meanwhile, Hilary Cass can't use public transport.

Furious today. As far as I'm concerned, the Greens can ram it.

Would Fergus Ewing vote against Humza?!

He might! Or even just abstain.

Waitwhat23 · 25/04/2024 18:03

The kazoo! 😆

Listening to pm on R4, did an SNP spokesperson say that the gender stuff was all the Greens idea?

mrshoho · 25/04/2024 18:05

I suppose even Humza had a limit and could no longer pander to the Green's increasingly ridiculous foot stomping demands. Will he have the backing of all SNP mps even?

Solgrass · 25/04/2024 18:08

The SNP will vote in favour because they know that the opposition parties will do the dirty work for them. They know Humza is a goner. This way they look loyal and united and can keep their hands clean. It’s a win/win for them.

SaffronSpice · 25/04/2024 18:08

Ash is very much an Indy supporter. The last thing we need now is a referendum. We need a government that focuses on the running of Scotland; schools, nhs, roads, economy, energy, farming.

The numbers make that risky. A few abstaining would help.

Solgrass · 25/04/2024 18:14

I think they’ll be a few SNP MSPs leaning on Ash to vote no

Liars, Kirsty Blackburn was really pushing it a couple of years ago.

littlbrowndog · 25/04/2024 18:16

Ash Regan just said on stv that yousaf has to agree to things like independence and the protection of women’s rights

Kirsty Blackman
Kirsten Oswald
Kaukab Stewart
John Nicolson

The list goes on and on, these are just the first ones that jumped into my mind.

And they've been fanatical. They can't blame this on the Greens, odious as they are.

Boiledbeetle · 25/04/2024 18:26

I've just been catching up on the last few days of this thread.

To quote Harold Wilson:

Bet Humza is kicking himself now his future lies in the hands of a woman he disdained. So she can either extract a big price or bring him down.

Either way Humza's days are numbered.

The first minister was scathing in his criticism of Ash Regan when she defected to Alex Salmond's Alba Party - but now his fate as leader of the government lies with her

ArabellaScott · 25/04/2024 18:37

The trouble is, who will replace Humza? Or if there's an election, who will replace the SNP?

There's the thickness of a fag paper between Humza and Anas Sarwar. I'm not convinced the latter would be any better in any way.

Actually the only SNP MSP's who can say with any credibility that they didn't back all the Gender bullshite are the 9 who defied the whip on the GRR bill -

Ash Regan, Stephanie Callaghan, Annabelle Ewing, Fergus Ewing, Jim Fairlie, Kenny Gibson, Ruth Maguire, John Mason and Michelle Thomson.

And Kate Forbes who was on maternity leave. She signed the letter.

Just watching Reporting Scotland now. Boy, those grapes are sour.

I think there's an inverse correlation (if that's a thing) between Lorna Slater's pissed-offedness and Alex Salmond's barely repressed glee.

Waitwhat23 · 25/04/2024 18:45

Fair play - I should have included Kate Forbes too
